“Our checkbook is done,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said during the latest episode of The Verdict podcast, discussing the tense exchange Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky had with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on Friday. “My view is America first, which means I want our allies to be strong and I want our enemies to be weak,” Cruz said. “It’s the reason I’ve urged President Trump, yes, you campaigned on we should end the war in Europe. Enough is enough. Stop sending money, but we want a negotiated outcome that is a clear loss for Russia. Why? Because...

First Lady Jill Biden said she is “trying to be out there” to explain to the American people what she believes her husband, President Joe Biden, has achieved for them, she said during an interview published in Vogue. Jill Biden is featured on the cover of the magazine’s August issue, and it features a lengthy profile on the first lady, who has come under the spotlight as of late as critics believe she is the driving force behind her husband refusing to drop out of the presidential race, despite widespread panic among Democrats, particularly after Thursday’s debate. “Each campaign is...

Of course, Ron DeSantis can come back and win. Anybody in the race can win – we saw Trump come back in 2016 when most everyone wrote him off in the general. Now it’s the Florida governor’s turn to be written off, but he’s not exactly in the same place that Trump was. DeSantis is a strong second right now. For him, it’s not a matter of a miracle happening, threading a bunch of needles to win the general when rational betters would bet against you like in 2016. No, Ron DeSantis has a plan, and there’s a method to...

The top general in the U.S. military warned Thursday that not supporting Ukraine now would lead to a massive increase in future defense budgets -- and global conflict that has been avoided since World War II ended."If that rules-based order, which is in its 80th year, if that goes out the window, then be very careful," Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley testified to Congress on Thursday. "We'll be doubling our defense budgets at that point because that will introduce not an era of great power competition. That'll begin an era of great power conflict. And that'll be...

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Thursday that President Joe Biden “has done the work” to secure the southern U.S. border, even as rising numbers of migrants continue to surge across it. Jean-Pierre was answering a question in the White House briefing room about the imminent end of Title 42, the rule that allows U.S. authorities to turn away migrants due to the pandemic emergency. It is one of the only enforcement tools that the Biden administration has retained, after President Biden issued a slew of executive orders upon taking office that rescinded President Donald Trump’s policies, including...

Anthony Fauci, the chief medical adviser to President Biden, said on Sunday that the U.S. is in a “much better” place in the pandemic compared to a year ago but stressed it is not completely over. “I don’t like reading in the newspapers or getting my report from the COVID team: today we lost 400 people, today we lost 350 people,” Fauci said during an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “So it’s much, much better than it was, but it is not at a level low enough where we should feel we’re done with it completely, because we’re not.”

Charlotte Bennett, 25, spoke out on Thursday night in her first televised interview. She said the powerful three-term governor, who was giving daily televised briefings in the midst of the pandemic and was receiving a rapturous reception, 'felt like he was untouchable in a lot of ways' when he 'propositioned' her. Bennett worked as a health...

Both the White House and the Trump campaign on Sunday said unequivocally that Sen. Kamala Harris is eligible to serve as vice president and blamed the media for fomenting unfounded questions about the issue. “Yeah,” White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “This is not something that we’re going to pursue … y’all have spent more time on it than anybody in the White House has talking about this.” Trump campaign senior advisor Jason Miller said it’s not something anyone on the campaign is talking about. “In our opinion, it is case closed....

A Republican congressman has encouraged President Trump to ignore the Supreme Court and print the 2020 U.S. Census with the question about citizenship, as the president mulls an executive order. Rep. Chip Roy, who represents the Lone Star State's 21st Congressional District -- covering much of the area north of San Antonio, plus much of Austin -- made the call on social media amid the controversy over the census citizenship question that caused some confusion within the Trump administration on whether the question will appear on the survey. “It’s the lawyers advising him,” Roy wrote in a tweet. “[Trump] should...

Evidence Iran has offered to ‘prove’ that an American RQ-4 Global Hawk drone was in its airspace when it was shot down this week is completely fraudulent. In particular, a photo Iran has published supposedly showing the drone tumbling from the sky in flames to indicate where it was when it was targeted destroys any remaining credibility the Islamic republic had. The state-run Islamic Republican News Agency published a photo of what the outlet claimed was the RQ-4 tumbling from the sky...

Fox news offered the WORST election coverage EVER! With sheer delight they announced WHILE PEOPLE WERE STILL VOTING in the west that the house was going to be won by the Democrats. To me it seemed like a calculated effort to suppress the vote to make sure that there would be divided government. I'm sure they calculated that ratings would increase with the shenanagans that the democrats will pull in the next two years. Well, they will not increase ratings in my house. I will never watch them again. They make me sick. Also with the smiling idiot that kept...

.....[snip]... Donald Trump blasted the Commission for Presidential Debates on Wednesday, claiming the bipartisan group is “rigged” and declaring himself “done” with it. “The head guy worked for Bill Clinton. Ay yai yai. What a rigged deal this is,” Trump said at a rally in Florida. He was referring to CPD co-chair Mike McCurry, who served as Clinton’s press secretary for three and a half years. What Trump did not mention is that McCurry’s co-chair is Frank Fahrenkopf, chairman of the Republican National Committee while Ronald Reagan was president. Trump went on to suggest that he might skip the third...
