Nominations are needed for Free Republic's Faux News Awards, which are to be presented this Saturday outside the White House Correspondents Association dinner by the D.C. Chapter.10 winners will be announced. For the third time in just over 3 weeks, DC Chapter FReepers conducted a FReep of Code Pink's anti-war protest at the gate of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where many of the most severely wounded troops from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are taken for continued treatment and rehabilitation. In 2003 the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was the recipient of an unused booth at CPAC, thanks to the resourcefulness of Taxman and the generosity of the Weekly Standard, who wasn't going to use their booth.
