Many carried homemade placards that read, "Never Prouder to be a Non-Republican" and "Bush Lied — Americans Died." Some donned fanciful costumes to underscore their views. Here's your eyewitness report from today's successful rally/FReep. From the start, my day was interesting. After getting a shower and dressing, I left my house just south of Alexandria and walked to the Metro station. I wasn't even three blocks from my house when I saw an "anti-war" protester ride by on a bike with poster that was an anti-SUV, anti-war rant. He was on the same Metro train car as I was, but I didn't bother. I got off at Federal Center Metro station, and walked a surprising short distance to the rally site. It was already about 10:15....

For too long, America's fighting men and women have been laboring on a two-front war not of their choosing: The front against terror and tyranny that they volunteered for, and the flank that we must defend for them against efforts by the media and leftists to undermine their morale and resolve. All summer long, and now into fall, our brave men and women have been doing great work in Iraq, Afghanistan and other areas around the world eliminating terrorist threats to our security while bringing freedom to oppressed people. Those efforts have been buried under an onslaught of biased reporting and...

Aging rocker Bruce Springsteen added a little political spice to his Washington, D.C., concert at FedEx Field Saturday night when, according to concertgoer accounts, he called for President Bush's impeachment. "It's time to impeach the president and get a man in there to get us out of this mess," the Boss allegedly roared, according to FreeRepublic.com's Kristinn Taylor, co-leader of the group's D.C. chapter. Another concertgoer told an online Springsteen discussion group that Bruce "got a little political, which I thought was great, but he definitely seemed to lose a bit of the crowd around me when he suggested...

Washington (CNSNews.com) - On a day when many Americans were solemnly remembering the lives lost two years ago in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a band of anti-war demonstrators used the occasion to call for world peace and warn Americans that the White House was lying about the attacks. Officially, the D.C. Antiwar Network organized the vigil, but more than a dozen people from various walks of life turned out to express their frustrations about the administration's policies in Iraq and the war on terrorism. They said the second anniversary of the terrorist attacks served as an impetus to make...

Today starts the rememberances of that horrible day. The news is full of interviews with people directly affected by the tragedy perpetrated by the enemies of America. Pain is writ large across the fruited plain as the scab is peeled off once again. On the date of September 11, 2001, at 8:45 AM, I was working in a room that had bars across the windows and a combination lock on the door. No TV, no radio. A co-worker wandered by and told me that "a jetliner had crashed into the World Trade Towers." I thought he was joking and told...
