BAGHDAD, Iraq — An explosion has been heard near the headquaters of the U.S.-led coalition in Baghdad, and sirens are wailing across the area.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- Several explosions shook the area housing the U.S.-led coalition headquarters on Tuesday. Sirens wailed briefly. A U.S. military official said it was not clear if the blasts were controlled explosions of old ordnance or an attack. Rebels periodically target the compound with mortars and rockets. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
