A drinking water warning has been issued for an area of Florida that includes former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club. The Town of Palm Beach shared an alert online Thursday warning residents, including Trump and others at Mar-a-Lago, that its water supply was having issues with cloudiness, or "turbidity." While noting that "turbidity does not cause health effects," residents were warned that infants, pregnant people, the elderly and those with "a severely compromised immune system" should avoid the water. "You may be at increased risk and should seek advice from your healthcare providers about drinking this water," the alert states.

A host of Michigan state and Flint city officials implicated in the Flint water crisis will escape racketeering charges after the state's attorney general disbanded the prosecution team working on the case. Michigan's attorney general Dana Nessel in 2018 fired the top prosecutors and investigators who were part of the three-year long investigation under the previous attorney general Bill Schuette. The team had already filed criminal charges against 15 Michigan state and Flint city officials, including four officials charged with financial fraud thought to be behind the public health scandal in which up to 100,000 people were poisoned with tainted...

President Obama, I oppose your appointment of Michael Taylor, a former VP and Lobbyist for Monsanto, the widely criticized Genetically Modified (GM) food multinational, as Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at the FDA. Taylor is the same person who was Food Safety Czar at the FDA when Genetically Modified Organisms were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety or risks. This is a travesty. Taylor was in charge of policy for Monsanto's now-discredited GM Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) which is directly linked to cancer and opposed by many medical and hospital organizations.
