If the government really believes that inflation has fallen that much, they need to start getting panhandlers off the streets, out of stores and leave people alone.
In six months on a Friday afternoon they will quietly adjust the inflation rate up 5-8% retroactively.
Is that 3% per week or three percent per month?
If inflation didn’t go negative it gets added to the current rate of inflation?
Inflation needs to go down in the months ahead the CPI is linked to the increase in Social Security payouts next year.

I must question that inflation figure for 2 reasons. First off, I don’t think it takes everything into consideration that should be as pertains to consumer pricing. Secondly, if they were serious about reducing inflation as affected by transportation costs. Get the oil industry in high gear as it seems this might directly affect prices more than any other single item.
