The U.S. Mint confirmed that a controversial coin using a description that referred to Jan. 6 freedom fighters as “insurrectionists” has been officially taken out of circulation after it was exposed by the popular social-media account Libs of TikTok on Tuesday. Northern Territory Chief Minister Paul Henderson says a commemorative plaque to be placed in Darwin Harbour acknowledges the ongoing military ties between Australia and the United States.
