CBS has released their latest YouGov Poll [DATA HERE], again showing the top priorities of the American people are not even on the radar of the American government. The DC beltway disconnect is stark. Interestingly, the recent survey of Pennsylvania voters done by Reuters, turned up this almost identical priority list, only Rusia/Ukraine did not even appear in the top five. The economy, inflation, gas prices, crime and immigration are the top five issues across the board, in almost every poll. _________________ Unfortunately, our opinion doesn’t matter, and frustratingly, the people using Biden as a tool to achieve their goals...

Full title: "CBS News Battleground Tracker: Warren extends lead across early states, New Hampshire and draws even with Biden in Iowa" Excerpt: Early-state Democratic voters say President Trump's allegations against Joe Biden have not affected their views of Biden and largely think they aren't true. Even so, it's Elizabeth Warren who continues to draw support from Democrats. She has extended the aggregate lead she had in this poll last month across the 18 early primary and caucus states. As for individual states, she has increased her lead over the pack in New Hampshire and pulled even with Biden in Iowa....

EXCERPTS The controversy around President Trump's tweets last week comes at a time when nearly nine in 10 Americans see a nation divided along racial lines, and most believe the parties each hold different ideas about what makes a person an American. A majority of Americans (59%) disagree with what the president said in his tweets last week about four Democratic congresswomen of color, including 44% who disagree strongly with what he said. But 40% of the country agrees with what Mr. Trump said. "'Progressive' Democratic Congresswomen" should "go back" to their countries, he tweeted last Sunday.

. . . Trump is gaining, and 52 percent of Democrats are dissatisfied with the choices If you were excited about yesterday’s Fox poll showing Trump up 45-42, and thus crestfallen to see this one, don’t feel that way at all. For one thing, Fox and Rasmussen polls always show the Republican running stronger than polls put out by MSM sources. You want to believe a liberal outlet like CBS is tilting the scales by oversampling Democrats, and I absolutely believed they were doing that in 2012 to make Obama look stronger than he really was. On Election Night, I...

A CBS poll released Sunday found that Ted Cruz has pulled well ahead on Donald Trump in Iowa, with a 9-point lead.Cruz leads the field with 40 percent of the vote, followed by Trump with 31 percent. Bringing up 3rd and 4th is Marco Rubio and Ben Carson, with 12 and 6 percent respectively. No other candidates net more than 2 percent. The newest poll is well in line with a recent Bloomberg poll which found that Cruz had a 10-point lead in the Hawkeye State. However, a Public Policy Polling survey released a few days later found that Trump was...

Consider the lame-duck descent confirmed. A day after the Washington Post/ABC poll showed disapproval for Barack Obama and ObamaCare reaching new highs, the new CBS News poll shows his approval plummeting nine points in a month to 37%. Support for the Affordable Care Act managed to drop even faster:

It was 50% last month and despite relatively good economic news lately, this doesn't seem to correlate into higher numbers for the president. CBS: _______________________ "President Obama's approval rating has hit the lowest level ever in CBS News polling, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times survey. The drop may be partially attributable to rising gas prices. Just 41 percent of Americans approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing as president, according to the poll, conducted from March 7 to 11. Another 47 percent disapprove of his performance, up from 41 percent last month. Mr. Obama's approval rating...

This is the fourth national poll in the past week to show him surging but the very first to have him in the lead. Amazing. The poll shows Cain, who stood at just five percent support two weeks ago, now holding 17 percent support among Republican primary voters. That puts the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO into a tie with Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, whose support has essentially held steady over the past two weeks.Perry, meanwhile, has dropped from 23 percent support to just 12 percent support over the past two weeks, a sign that the Texas governor’s shaky debate...

This report from a CBS poll starts promisingly enough: A new CBS News poll shows that Americans have mixed feelings about what should happen to Medicare: While 53 percent say the program needs fundamental changes … Wow! Here I was, underestimating the ability of the American public to deduce that a Ponzi scheme inevitably ends badly, and the voters surprise us all. Or at least they do until you read the rest of the sentence: 58 percent say it should continue the way it is set up now. Er, so we should fundamentally change Medicare to keep it continuing as...

CBS News Poll analysis by the CBS News Polling Unit: Sarah Dutton, Jennifer De Pinto, Fred Backus and Anthony Salvanto. Most Republicans do not want to see former Alaska governor Sarah Palin enter the presidential race, a new CBS News poll finds. Fifty-four percent of Republican registered voters want Palin to stay out of the race, as do 50 percent of Tea Party supporters. Just 34 percent of Republicans and 38 percent of Tea Party supporters want her to seek the Republican nomination. Overall, two-thirds of registered voters want Palin to stay out of the race. Republicans are split on...

Barack Obama had better hope his campaign communications team performs better than the one he has at the White House. Despite several months of hysterical warnings about the impact of failing to raise the statutory debt ceiling, Americans oppose giving Washington an extension on their credit limit by more than 2-1 in the latest CBS poll. Opposition doesn’t just come from “extremist†Tea Party members, either: Despite Obama administration warnings that failing to do so would devastate the economy, a clear majority of Americans say they oppose raising the debt limit, a new CBS News/New York Times poll shows.Just 27...

The best part of this poll? The sampling follies at CBS don’t even really matter, although this poll’s sample is closer to reality than most. When given a choice between tax hikes or spending cuts, it turns out that 77% of Americans are Tea Partiers, as Jammie Wearing Fool says: [A CBS] News poll finds that Americans strongly prefer cutting spending to raising taxes to reduce the federal deficit. While 77 percent prefer to cut spending, just nine percent call for raising taxes. Another nine percent want to do both.Yet most Americans could not volunteer a program they’d be willing...

More evidence that Obama's lawsuit against Arizona is a disaster for Democrats: CBS is out with a new poll that shows 57% of Americans think Arizona's immigration law is "about right" and 17% think it "doesn't go far enough." On the other hand, White House officials have argued that Obama's aggressive actions against Arizona will help boost Hispanic support: "White House advisers are said to be concerned that Obama's declining numbers among Latinos could spell trouble in key states in 2010 and 2012. And Harry Reid needs big Latino support to get reelected. Immigration reform -- the best way to...

How’s that Hopey-Changey working out for you? Two weeks after finally getting his ObamaCare agenda item signed into law, Barack Obama has reaped the reward of pushing a deeply unpopular bill through Congress. A new CBS poll shows Obama dropping to his lowest approval rating in their survey yet, down to 44% (via JWF): Last week, President Obama signed historic health care reform legislation into law — but his legislative success doesn’t seem to have helped his image with the American public. The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with...

Last week, President Obama signed historic health care reform legislation into law -- but his legislative success doesn't seem to have helped his image with the American public. The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Mr. Obama's handling of health care - and still worried about the state of the economy. President Obama's overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March, just before the health bill's passage in the House of Representatives. It's down 24 points since his...

(CBS) Barack Obama leads John McCain 45 percent to 39 percent in the latest CBS News poll. Despite Obama's highly-publicized foreign trip and McCain's recent high-profile advertisements, the findings are unchanged since a CBS News/New York Times poll released last month. The percentage of undecided voters - 13 percent - also remains steady. Obama's overseas trip, which was widely seen as a success, has not enhanced perceptions of his effectiveness as a commander in chief. Just 20 percent of those surveyed say Obama is "very likely" to be an effective commander in chief, down 4 percentage points from last month....
