Senator Catherine Cortez Masto declined the opportunity to impeach the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, for his failure to secure the southern border while an illegal alien languishes in custody over the killing of one of her senior advisers. Cortez Masto described efforts to impeach Mayorkas as a “waste of time”: There is no evidence that [Secretary Mayorkas] committed high crimes and misdemeanors, so I voted to end this waste of time. Republicans could have made real policy changes, but they decided to play games and killed the bipartisan border package in favor of this frivolous impeachment. Impeachment is...
  • Nevada’s Rejected Votes Exceeded Narrow Senate Margin in 2022, Watchdog Group Finds

Nevada rejected a higher number of mail-in ballots in the 2022 election than the final vote margin that decided a close Senate race last year, according to an analysis obtained by The Daily Signal. The Public Interest Legal Foundation, a conservative election watchdog group, found that 8,036 ballots were rejected. Democratic incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto defeated Republican challenger Adam Laxalt by 7,928 votes. So, 108 more votes were rejected than the final tally that separated the two candidates. The analysis also found that 95,556 ballots—almost 5% of those listed on the state’s active voter lists—were sent to undeliverable addresses....

As Republican Adam Laxalt’s lead in the Nevada Senate race dwindles with 93% of the vote counted, his campaign is reportedly “bracing for a loss” and weighing asking for a recount. Laxalt is ahead of incumbent Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto by just 800 votes after 23,000 mail-in ballots were tabulated in Clark County on Friday. The results from the mail-in ballots are favoring Cortez Masto at a 2-1 rate. Clark County, home to Las Vegas, reportedly has about 27,000 mail-in ballots left to be counted.

One of America’s most contested midterm races, between Adam Laxalt and Catherine Cortez Masto, is coming to a head in Nevada. As of Thursday morning, Republican Mr Laxalt maintained a slight lead over Democratic incumbent Ms Cortez Masto in the Senate race with just over 79 per cent of votes counted, according to the New York Times. The race could still be subject to substantial shifts as two counties with the vast majority of voters - Clark and Washoe - continue to tabulate mail-in ballots late into Wednesday night with large margins for Democrats, according to the Nevada Independent. Those...
  • Exclusive — Adam Laxalt: Things Will ‘Keep Getting Worse’ Unless We Have a ‘Political Elite Reversal’

Things will continue to get worse unless there is a total “political elite reversal,” Republican Nevada Senate candidate Adam Laxalt told Breitbart News Saturday mere days ahead of Election Day, where the former state attorney general hopes to defeat Democrat Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV). The direction of Nevada, and the country at whole, is at stake on Election Day, Laxalt claimed, attributing the negative trends — such as the uptick in crime and rampant inflation — to Democrat leadership. “It’s pretty simple. Everything that you’re seeing nationally, with the trends in crime and border and economy, they’re, you know,...

Nevada Republican U.S. Senate candidate Adam Laxalt and gubernatorial candidate Joe Lombardo are narrowly leading their incumbent Democrat opponents with the help of independent voters, a new Insider Advantage poll found. Roughly two weeks out from election day, Clark County Sheriff Lombardo (48.5 percent) is leading Silver State Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) by 6 points (42.8 percent), outside of the survey’s ±4.2 percent margin of error. Former state Attorney General Laxalt is also leading Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) 48.2 percent to 46.3 percent, within the survey’s margin of error. Insider Advantage conducted the poll on October 20 with 550...
  • Republicans could pick up two Senate seats in Arizona and Nevada: Projections show GOP with 52-48 majority in the upper chamber after 2022 midterms

Senate Republicans are on track to pick up two seats in the western United States in the 2022 midterms to win back a majority in the upper chamber, according to a projection 30 days until Election Day. Blake Masters could beat out Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, a RealClearPolitics projection shows, despite the incumbent having an average 1.8 percent polling advantage over his GOP challenger in the adjusted October figures. The projection also estimates that Republican Adam Laxalt will best Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada in November. Laxalt has a 1.3 percent average polling advantage over the incumbent...
  • Dem Says Laxalt Abandoned Rape Victims [semi-satire]

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) charged her Republican opponent Adam Laxalt with “abandoning rape victims. Instead of sticking with his Attorney General job, where he was very successful, he decided to pursue a selfish ambition to try to take my Senate seat.” During Laxalt’s four-year stint as Nevada’s Attorney General he cleared a 4,000 case backlog of rape kits that had been left unexamined by the previous holder of the office. Ironically, the previous AG was none other than Catherine Cortez Masto. During her eight year tenure only 16% of the 5,231 rape kits collected from victims were examined. The...

As the midterms approach, three swing-state Democratic Senators are in danger of losing their respective races, according to new polling from Data for Progress. In Arizona, Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly is barely holding onto a 1% lead over Republican candidate Blake Masters, with 48% of respondents saying they would vote for him in the midterms; Masters polled just behind Kelly at 47%, according to Data for Progress. Two recent Senate midterm polls in the key states of Nevada and Georgia both show the Republican challengers leading the Democratic incumbents with less than two months until the November elections. In Nevada, the latest Emerson College Polling/8 News Now/The Hill survey revealed that GOP Senate candidate Adam Laxalt is narrowly ahead of incumbent Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto—42 percent to 41 percent. The poll, conducted between September 8 and September 10 among 1,000 likely voters, is only the second time that the Donald Trump-endorsed Laxalt has beaten Cortez Masto in any of the last seven polls, according to FiveThirtyEight's collection...

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Adam Laxalt released his second general election political ad on Wednesday, hammering “desperate” incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) for releasing ads that are “deemed false, misleading, and full of defamatory claims that don’t add up by several news outlets.” The ad, entitled “Gutter Politics,” will run on cable and broadcast across the Silver State. The spot focuses on how Cortez Masto’s recent mudslinging ads received false ratings from local outlets, including the Washington Post, which gave them seven “Pinocchio’s” combined. The ad states: Catherine Cortez-Masto is desperate — spending millions attacking Adam Laxalt’s family and...

Democratic senator Catherine Cortez Masto leads her Republican opponent in the race for Nevada senate where voters say inflation and the economy is the most important issue, according to a new poll. The new Suffolk University/Reno Gazette Journal poll revealed that Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., holds a seven-point lead over her Trump-endorsed opponent Adam Laxalt, 45% to 38%. Twelve percent of likely voters remain undecided in the heated Senate race. According to the poll, 34% of Nevadans believe inflation and the economy are the most important issues in the state, trumping abortion and climate change as the leading priority...
  • Dem Senator Privately Presents 'Faglicious Homo' with 'Drag Queen Story Hour' Award, Doesn't Want Voters to Know

Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to hold on to their ultra-narrow Senate majority this year in a midterm election cycle that has several of the party’s most vulnerable incumbents facing voters amid rising inflation and surging gas prices. Republicans need to net just one new seat this year to reclaim control of the upper chamber. Still, Democrats are more optimistic about their chances of holding their Senate majority than they are their House majority and are eyeing several opportunities to flip GOP-held seats.

Republican Adam Laxalt leads Sen. Cathy Cortez Masto (D-NV) in the Silver State, a new poll obtained exclusively by Breitbart News ahead of its public release shows. Laxalt, the former attorney general of Nevada, is at 47 percent in the new survey, and Cortez Masto is down at 46 percent. That 1 percent lead is inside the survey’s 4 percent margin of error. “Adam Laxalt is in a position to defeat vulnerable Democratic incumbent Catherine Cortez Masto for U.S. Senate,” pollster Jim McLaughlin wrote in the memo. “Adam Laxalt is already edging her on the ballot and the political...

For the last year, Nevada Democrats have been warring with each other over the past and future of their party. Senator Harry Reid, the state’s most successful politician, built a Democratic machine in the late 1990s and early 21st century that dominated local and national races up and down the ballot. But the machine suffered some setbacks in 2018 and 2020, leaving an opening for radicals to take control. The Democratic Socialists of America took over the party, and the Harry Reid faction didn’t much like it. They’ve been at war ever since. The Washoe County Democrats declared their independence...

Expect all hell to break loose within the Democrat party, with powerful key factions at each others’ throats. Voters in multiple states repudiated the radical wing of the Democrat party that had seized control of the party’s agenda. Republicans swept the statewide offices in Virginia, a state that had recently tantalized Democrat hopes of national dominance by swinging from red to purple to blue. Even if Phil Murphy ends up winning the governorship of New Jersey as troves of mail-in ballots are added to the totals when counting resumes in the morning (a story replicating what happened in some swing...

Democratic Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar -- self-styled feminists who bought every flimsy claim made against now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh -- have chosen to stand by Joe Biden in the face of a sexual assault allegation made against him by a former staffer. The MeToo movement, which followed a New York Times' expose on Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein's abuse and degradation of women in the entertainment industry, was supposed to prove that the feminist movement was a moral entity committed to fair treatment of women, even when big Democratic figures...

Terrorists need their guns more than their victims need surgeries. In 2002, Shmuel Waldman, an American from New Jersey, was shot while boarding a bus in Israel. The terrorist attack killed 2 people and left 40 injured. Among that 40 was Shmuel whose leg was blown apart, forcing him to undergo multiple surgical procedures, and leaving him suffering from PTSD. The terrorist who shot him was Said Ramadan, a “police officer” working for the terrorists who run the Palestinian Authority. The attack had been planned by senior Palestinian Authority officials and the Palestinian Authority viewed Ramadan as a hero. Waldman...
