A doctor in the south-central region of Los Angeles County is calling it quits after years of battling denizens of a rooftop homeless encampment that have continuously terrorized her and her employees, costing the general practitioner tens of thousands of dollars in the process. Dr. Tahani Soliman owns the building she runs her practice out of on the corner of Rugby and Zoe avenues in Huntington Park. A multi-level parking garage next door to her practice has reportedly been a hub for unhoused people, who are easily able to access her roof, camp out, steal electricity and scrap metal from...

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday urged California cities to clear homeless encampments, escalating efforts anew to address the makeshift tents that line underpasses, parks and streets up and down the state. The Democratic governor unveiled a blueprint for a camping ban for cities and counties to follow in announcing more than $3 billion in grants for facilities to treat homeless people and others who struggle with mental health and substance use disorders. He used the occasion to exhort cities and counties once again to use the money and policy changes provided by the state to do...

Gay and transgender liberals around the country are arming themselves over perceived concerns they’ll be rounded up and placed in “concentration camps” under a second Trump administration, according to a report. The Philadelphia Inquirer on Sunday profiled several members of the emerging gun-toting left, who belong to groups with names like the Liberal Gun Club, the Socialist Rifle Association and Pink Pistols. Although precise figures regarding LGBTQ gun ownership are tough to ascertain given the small cohort, the Liberal Gun Club told the outlet that it’s received “thousands” of firearms training requests since the election — more than in all...

No matter how bad you think Covid policies were, they were intended to be worse. Consider the vaccine passports alone. Six cities were locked down to include only the vaccinated in public indoor places. They were New York City, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and Seattle. The plan was to enforce this with a vaccine passport. It broke. Once the news leaked that the shot didn’t stop infection or transmission, the planners lost public support and the scheme collapsed. It was undoubtedly planned to be permanent and nationwide if not worldwide. Instead, the scheme had to be dialed back....

Citing safety, authorities are closing two Milwaukee-area public parking lots where people have been living in tents, trailers and cars. “The environments continue to degrade and become less safe every day,” the Wisconsin Department of Transportation said Monday. “First responders including law enforcement, fire service personnel and paramedics are responding to a heightened number of emergency calls regarding dangerous and unsafe activity in and around the lots,” the department said. The lots are park-and-ride lots where people can catch a bus or another ride. The state said it will begin closing two lots and a portion of a third, starting...

The past spring semester for universities across the United States was marked with "Gaza Solidarity Encampments" and pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas protests largely at commencements – that is, if commencement wasn't canceled completely due to demonstrators – but now, the protests appear to have reached a new phase, potentially foreshadowing what is to come for America this summer.Popping up on city propertyA pro-Palestinian encampment popped up in Clark Park in West Philadelphia this week, according to local outlet 6ABC, marking the first encampment on city property. On the other side of the country, hundreds of University of California, Santa Cruz employees walked...

Students participating in the Gaza Solidarity Encampments at universities across the country are being taught to become militants, according to nine manuals obtained by The Free Press. Many of the manuals, which are being shared via phone group chats with students across the country, encourage “militancy” and instruct protesters to break laws, seize buildings, vandalize them, and then use tactics to evade police detection and arrest. One guide, called “De-arrest Primer,” teaches protesters to physically resist arrest or, in some cases, assault police officers or throw projectiles at them to protect fellow “comrades” from arrest. “Each de-arrest,” the guide states,...

Campus fads come and go, but we’ve come a long way from swallowing goldfish, stuffing as many people as possible into phone booths, and the ever-popular drinking until you pass out. The latest craze among college kids is, as Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) indelibly put it, “living in a pup tent for Hamas.” No sooner do cops clear out one encampment than another one springs up, and it looks as if they’re going to be with us for the rest of this semester and may even be revived once the universities reconvene next fall. This is, however, not even close...

Hundreds of migrants, most from Africa and Venezuela, swarmed into Powell Barnett Park in Seattle on Monday and hastily erected a tent encampment before issuing a list of demands including free housing, food, and other needs. The park, situated in Seattle’s Central District neighborhood, was invaded in a planned takeover by more than 200 migrants who brought in wood pallets and erected tents on top of them. One of the migrants, Republic of Congo Central African native Don Tstay, told the media they plan to stay until their demands are met. “So far they haven’t kicked us out, and we...

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - In an effort to discourage homeless camps, Washoe County Commissioners voted on a controversial camping ban. Community members came forward Tuesday morning to speak on the ordinance that would make it a misdemeanor to sleep in a car or tent, or park an RV on county owned property. “Its unconstitutional to arrest someone who has no access to alternative shelter,” said one resident. ... The Supreme Court will also have a hearing to weigh in on whether cities can legally ban or limit unhoused people camping in public spaces. If they vote against this, the current...

This Isn’t A Third World Country, An Apocalypse Didn’t Happen, A Nuclear Warhead Didn’t Detonate…. This Is Democrat Run Oakland, California “Of all the bad places I've been to in the United States, I don't know if I've ever been to a city that's as vastly rundown, abandoned, and out of control as Oakland, California. This is the side of town where most of the homeless camps are located. Some look like something you'd see in Haiti, lean to shacks made of recovered junk that serve as 4 walls and a roof but that's just about it. Other areas just...

It's allows the Dept. of Health to pick and choose which New Yorkers they can lockup or lockdown without any proof that you’re sick, without any proof you’ve been exposed to a communicable disease. There’s no time limit so they could lock you up or lock you down for days or weeks or months. There’s no location restriction. They can put you in any facility they want…And then once you are locked up or locked down, there’s no procedure in this regulation that says how you get out of quarantine once you’re in there.”

I hope you are sitting down when you read this article. There is absolutely no way I can possibly sugar coat this, so I’ll just be frank… The NYS Supreme Court Appellate Division’s Fourth Judicial Department has issued their ruling in our quarantine lawsuit against Governor Hochul and her Department of Health, and they have ruled against the will of the people! If you feel like you just got sucker-punched in the gut, join the club, my friends. The court has dismissed our lawsuit, not because we are wrong in our arguments… no, no, indeed we are dead-right. In fact,...

Sacramento's Democratic District Attorney filed a lawsuit against the Democrat-led city over failure to clean up homeless encampments, escalating tensions between city leaders. Announcing the lawsuit, District Attorney Thien Ho said the city is seeing a 'collapse into chaos' that reflects the 'erosion of everyday life.' 'We have more homeless people in Sacramento than San Francisco. The community is at a breaking point,' said Ho. In August, Ho threatened to press charges against city officials if they did not make changes in their handling of the city's homeless crisis. He demanded that California state capital implement a daytime camping ban...
