(Mamaroneck, N.Y.) Police say they found a cache of weapons and bomb-making materials at a Westchester County apartment last night. Police executed a search warrant at the apartment of 27-year-old Aaron John Gilbridge in Mamaroneck (muh-MARE-uh-neck). They uncovered four loaded rifles, an Uzi, cases of ammunition, brass knuckles, gravity knives, daggers, a clay compound similar to C-4 explosive, and a mock pipe bomb. Authorities also found a book called "The Anarchist Cookbook," which argues for change in society through violence and includes bomb-making instructions. Gilbridge could get seven years in prison if convicted of criminal possession of a weapon.

More civilians are being injured or killed in northern Iraq now than during the war, largely due to the breakdown of law and order and the dangers of abandoned caches of Iraqi arms, a human rights group said Sunday. The New York-based group Human Rights Watch said it studied civilian injuries and deaths at five hospitals and morgues in the northern cities of Kirkuk and Mosul. Health workers reported daily weapons-related injuries, both intentional and accidental, and many of the victims were children who played with unexploded ordnance, it said. "In some ways, the peace has proved more lethal than...
