(Mamaroneck, N.Y.) Police say they found a cache of weapons and bomb-making materials at a Westchester County apartment last night.
Police executed a search warrant at the apartment of 27-year-old Aaron John Gilbridge in Mamaroneck (muh-MARE-uh-neck). They uncovered four loaded rifles, an Uzi, cases of ammunition, brass knuckles, gravity knives, daggers, a clay compound similar to C-4 explosive, and a mock pipe bomb.
Authorities also found a book called "The Anarchist Cookbook," which argues for change in society through violence and includes bomb-making instructions.
Gilbridge could get seven years in prison if convicted of criminal possession of a weapon.

OH THE HORRORS!
NY is really freaky on weapons, or anything you could perceive MIGHT be a weapon.

There are people that own guns in Westchester (hunters). But I have this feeling that the Feds were watching this guy's computer and decided to make a bust.

What's a gravity knife? Hold the handle up, press a button, and the blade comes down. $10.00 at your local sports shop. Probably cheaper on the net.

Yep. And a book written in 1968. This isn't even yawning material.

Ah, kind of like a switchblade, but designed to eliminate the spring mechanism.

What's a gravity knife? Sounds very futuristic.Any locking blade that can be opened via centripedal force (e.g., flicking your wrist).

They got some survivalists cache. Of course this will add to the general terrorist, hand-wringing frenzy in the press. If they want to uncover a whole bunch of terrorist weapons they should try the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee or maybe the Arapaho National Forest here in Colorado or maybe .... The point being that with the current attitude of the government towards it citizens and the right to bear arms many people decided to bury their weapons. It's human nature to try and insure survival, unless of course, you're a hoplophobe liberal. Thirty years ago gun-owners wouldn't have thought of needing to bury their arms.

What's a gravity knife? Sounds very futuristic. Very serious weapon. It can cut the gravity lines which hold a person down and they just take off into the air. It's just not pretty to watch a weapons expert with such a blade.

The book that had many a teenager asking mom, "Can you buy some bannanas and morning glory seeds at the grocery store this week?".
