I'm physically handicapped so I do some of my shopping (with reputable) companies. I also have my bank account set up to automatically pay my bills in the event I'm in the hospital. Today I was reviewing my online statement and updating the names of the companies I have done business with. Imagine my surprise when for the first time since 11/96 I found 3 charges which were unrecognizable. Needless to say I called the bank for more info. My sister and B-I-L arrived yesterday afternoon from Houston. My sister and B-I-L along with close to 20 other people met up in Senator Cornyn's office. He was courteous, spent time talking to all of them. He also confirmed he did NOT like the health care bill and shared he was proud people were getting involved. My sister stated it was a very positive meeting. They then went over to Al Green's office.They were the only ones who went to Green's office. I recently bought me an inexpensive bread maker. My reasons were two-fold. I had stomach surgery back in June, 2006 and due to a few neurological changes, my taste buds changed. As an example of the changes, I actively disliked cauliflour as well as spinach. Now I don't automatically say I don't like something just because I despised it prior to my second tummy surgery. I haven't actually gone out to buy caulifour but I AM keeping frozen spinach on hand. In some ways this change has been a blessing because it opens a whole new world to my taste...

I received a telephone call from CitizensUnited.org requesting a donation to help get a movie entitled "Rendezvous with Reagan" produced. Does anyone know anything about this organization?

My home health care aide came in about 10 minutes ago and told me the schools in Sterling are on shutdown due to an outside threat. As we were talking about it a scroll appeared across the bottom of the television stating all schools in Comanche County and surrounding areas are shut down. Per aide and info she managed to get from an inside source as her kids are affected, gang members from Chickasha, Ok. have made threats which are being treated seriously by all LEO's. Will post more as I know more.

I received two alerts regarding treats for dogs. One is for the wheat gluten problem which is now affecting dry food items. The other is a completely different issue where salmonella is found in dog chews. Will post the email alerts with names of items being recalled.

Wichita Falls,TX(7News) A Wichita Falls convenience store owner is going to prison for life for selling ingredients to make meth. The bust happened at the Krystal Mart store in April of 2004. The drug task force says owner Reza Vafaiyan was selling more than 80,000 tablets of pseudoephedrine, which prosecutors say could have produced more than $4 million worth of meth. A Wichita County jury sentenced Vafaiyan to life in prison for the crime.

Oklahoma has been hit with a number of wildfires resulting in several firefighters being injured and people losing their homes. Prayers would be very much appreciated for the injured and for the people facing the loss of their homes.

My ex Mother-in-Law is in the hospital with an unknown infection. She's having some vertigo, is very weak and currently unable to walk or feed herself. Initially they thought she had pneumonia but since her lungs were clear they are unsure what type of infection she has. There's a strong possibility she may have to go into a nursing home if she doesn't regain her ability to walk or feed herself. She's a wonderful Christian lady who is beloved by her two daughters, their husbands, my ex-husband along with numerous grandkids and great grandkids. I would appreciate prayers for her...

I am looking at buying the computer linked below and need some feedback. I'm not very computer savy. I only use the computer for browsing the web and email.
