Oklahoma has been hit with a number of wildfires resulting in several firefighters being injured and people losing their homes.
Prayers would be very much appreciated for the injured and for the people facing the loss of their homes.
Update: Hot spots still a concern in Stephens County
Duncan (7 News) _ Firefighters are still on the scene of yesterdays massive wildfire south of Duncan. This morning theyve been monitoring hot spots to make sure this blaze doesn't flare up again. So far, the fire has destroyed 30 homes and at least one church. At least two volunteer firefighters from Rush Springs are hurt this morning. One of those firefighters is at a burn center in Oklahoma City and the other has been released from a hospital in Duncan. 7 News has learned more about how these firefighters were injured. Officials tell us they became trapped by the fire then they were overcome by the flames. Arson is suspected and an investigation is ongoing. 7 News will continue to follow this story and have the latest on 7 News at five and six.
Firefighting efforts spare Marlow area homes
Marlow (7 News) _ Another wildfire Wednesday charred 3,500 acres near Marlow. This fire started at about noon about two miles west of highway 81. Witnesses say the flames were 10-feet high and the smoke was overwhelming. Fire officials tell 7 news no structures were damaged, just farm equipment and lots of hay. We talked to one homeowner who almost lost everything, but says her house is still standing thanks to the hard work of firefighters
I'll pray for rain for you if you pray for warm for me.
Prayers are requested for injured firefighters in Oklahoma and for people who have lost their homes.
Thank you!
Done!
Please pray Thank you
Prayers are up for the people and property involved.
My prayers are with them.
Are you sure you really want the temp's we had yesterday? According to my thermometer it reached 94 degrees. In my book that's not perzackly warm, it's hot!
Thankfully the high today is supposed to be in the upper 60's so I'll be glad to do my best to send a little warmth your way.
Thanks for the prayers.
Prayers sent..
Prayers going up - It is amazing how much of TX and OK burned this winter.
Praying for you guys. All my friends and relatives are there in OK.
I saw that Loco was one of the spots with a fire going yesterday. My Mom has some land there, though it's just leased out for cattle and oil.
We look to You, O Lord, for mercy upon the stricken people and land of Oklahoma, for great is their suffering. May Your healing hand rest mightily upon those injured in fighting the fires ... restore each one to the fullness of health, that they might continue to serve in the capacity of defenders of their communities. We praise You for their faithful service, O God ... strengthen them and their comrades as they continue to stand between home and catastrophe.
Lift the hearts of those who have suffered loss of home and possessions ... let them not be overcome by grief, but raise them up to praise You that family and friends are not among the lost. Quench the fire and the flames, O Lord, for all things are under Your authority. Quickly send refreshment to the land, Merciful Father ... have mercy upon Your people.
Place Your discerning hand upon any who have caused such misery ... bring them forth that they might swiftly and surely be dealt with. Show Yourself in a mighty way, O Lord, for You are God. Amen ...
94s in March!

God be with them and give them Peace.
Durant Airport is in Durant. That's the other fire, that was near Calera. That is the Lake Texoma area.
We have another FReeper who lives not far from there, but south of the Red, and has a house even closer to it - replied on the OK Wildfires thread.
My goodness, Pegita can do some beautiful prayers! I'm always in awe! Thank you, Pegita!
Prayers up from here in SE TX. Wonderful news about the rain up there, SallyC! God bless the firefighters.
I join in this prayer for all who are suffering.
