LAWTON-- It's supposed to be the time to honor a fallen American hero. But, once again a radical church group from Kansas has plans to the contrary. On Sunday, Fort Sill will hold a memorial service to remember Specialist Wilfred Flores, Junior of Lawton.
You'll remember he was killed last month in Iraq while fighting the war on terror. 7-News has learned the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas plans to protest the memorial. They're the same group that has sparked states across the country, including Oklahoma, to create laws restricting when and where they can protest funerals. They believe U.S. troops are being killed because of America's tolerance of homosexuals.
Police and a group of motorcyclists are ready for the protestors. Nobody can stop the group from coming, but police can definitely make sure they follow the law when they get here. The Patriot Guard Riders will also be to on hand to shield Specialist Flores' family from the protests. After all, the service is for them.

WTF. They are not a “Church Group”. They are incestous pseudo-cultist liberal lawyers stirring trouble to make dirty bucks.
God Bless Specialist Wilfred Flores Jr., his family and The Patriot Guard Riders.
Calling the PGR time for you to come to a soldier’s aide.
Ya know, Sandrat, one of these days that outfit is going to come disrupt some soldiers funeral, and something is gonna happen to them. And when it does and they call 911 to report it, the only thing that is gonna show up is a trash truck.
They are a Cult Group, not a Church Group.
They have no decency, no respect.
They just weren’t raised right.
Sickos.
Our family condolences and prayers to Family.
We are in the present of greatness.

My family salutes you. Thank you. Now we will stand for you.
To look in the eyes of those who have lost their loved ones who have given their lives for this country and thank them from the bottom of my heart is one of the greatest honors I have ever had.
God bless this family and give them comfort and peace!
My loyalty to Country, this soldier and the family is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to a patriot soldier and family ready to defend them who defended our freedoms for us.

I hope it happens in my area...I would love to throw some of this “RUBBISH” in the $hitcan!
I guess we need a 300,000 lawsuit!
Topeka Church To Pay Marine Funeral Costs
04/14/2007
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A federal judge in Baltimore is ordering Topeka's Westboro Baptist Church to pay more than $3,000 in costs related to the funeral of a Marine the group picketed.Albert Snyder of York, Pennsylvania, is suing because church members demonstrated at the funeral of his son, Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder. Church members also posted pictures of the protest on their Web site.
Court documents say the church has 30 days to make the payment to Snyder.
and then we can all blame it on America’s tolerance of homosexuals. Which comes the question: Do they protest their own funerals.
Wish I could ride up and join in with them.
About 40 Patriot Guard Riders, each bearing an American flag, lined the walks outside from before the soldier's remains arrived until after they were removed. What an incredible group of men.
BTTT
Every time we have ridden with them we have been truly honored to be among men and women of honor. Anyone is welcome to join them, so long as they are there to show honor to our heroes.
Thanks Star
I just read somewhere, maybe on here, that someone successfully sued them and won, and they have been ordered to cough up something like $5000 in settlement for disrupting a soldiers funeral somewhere????
Before I read it in this thread......
