My home health care aide came in about 10 minutes ago and told me the schools in Sterling are on shutdown due to an outside threat. As we were talking about it a scroll appeared across the bottom of the television stating all schools in Comanche County and surrounding areas are shut down.
Per aide and info she managed to get from an inside source as her kids are affected, gang members from Chickasha, Ok. have made threats which are being treated seriously by all LEO's.
Will post more as I know more.

WOW, could you ping me on any updates? I grew up in Medicine Park, went to school in Lawton for a while, and have lots of friends there.
I live in Tennessee now.
It really sucks that gangbangers have this sort of power in this day and age. What sucks even more is if they were rounded up wholesale, the ACLU and Democrats would have a hissy fit about "profiling" and "infringing on their rights."

Looks like my local police are also out in force as I live directly across from the junior high school and have seen local LEO’s cruising slowly by 3 time since I posted. I’m about 15 miles away from Duncan, Ok., former HQ of Halliburton.
I’ll do my best. Television is in the other room so I have to go back and forth to see latest scrolling. Also am watching my street as I’m directly across from the local jr. high school.

Thanks for the bump! I went to open curtains in living room and our Chief of Police was turning onto my street from the side street which runs alongside the middle school.
Gang members in a town like Chickasha? Wow.
Yep, gang members in Chickasha. Heck, we have gang members down in Duncan, Ok also. It truly suckeths!

I recently made contact with a girl I grew up with in Medicine Park. We’ve been emailing back and forth, and she lives near there.
Her brother was killed by gangbangers. I had no idea gangs were that bad there, wasn’t like that when I lived there, but that was a LONG time ago.
Get ‘em....shoot ‘em....worry about repercussions from the lib weenies later....

Actually it is very real. Many inner city gangs will have agents move out to rural towns where police are not as vigilant of gang activity, mainly for drug production. You see this a lot in California with gangs such as La Eme and Nuestra Familia sending agents to recruit the local youth and establish bases.
Thanks but I think I’m pretty safe for now. I’m in the back of the house in the study and the police are driving by frequently.
One thing strange though is the buses are up and running now which usually doesn’t happen until 2:15-2:30. They’re empty but are following the regular 2:00ish route.
What a shame that a bunch of thugs have that kind of power. The real shame is that our government (local on up) has given them that kind of power instead of effectively dealing with them.
