I’m in Denver and it has dropped to -10 degrees here the last few says. There are Teslas everywhere here and I haven’t seen or heard of this happening here. Also my nephew drove his EV Polestar from Denver to SLC on Saturday and had no problem with range or charging.

It all depends on the electric car. Far too many of them are crap. The good ones sell just fine. Tesla is going to deliver 1.8 million this year - all sold at a profit.

I agree there will be some bad press for Tesla but it doesn’t seem to matter too much. My son is a auto broker and he has sold several used Teslas in just a day or two. Of course, we are in Denver and Teslas are very popular here. I can drive 2 miles to the grocery store and I will see 6 or 7 Teslas.

Tesla had a terrible 3rd quarter but still had a net profit margin of 7%. That includes a crazy amount of new factory construction, virtually no corporate long term debt and 26 billion dollars cash in the bank. The problem for Ford and the other companies is they need to make better cars. Tesla’s average cost to build a car is about $37,000. Why can’t Ford and the other companies do that?
“Only 3 are deployed outside their AOR. CVN 72 & 73 are doing carrier quals in their local op areas. RR is conducting scheduled port visits in WESTPAC.”
You are absolutely correct. I was thinking that carriers at sea are more difficult to find and attack if there was a sudden escalation.
