Only cuz of gubment mandates in the west. And the price coming down IMHO makes it more practical for the few who'd be interested in an EV in the free market.

Unfortunately, China and India will be the only nations with strong enough power grids to charge 'em.

Let’s give a few more parameters....cuz my gut tells me this is a “rigged” statistic.

It may well be the best selling model. The stat is misleading. Right now I am hearing Ford ads on the radio stating that the F-150 has been the best selling truck for 47 years running. Well, that is partly because Chevy and GMC trucks are the same truck under different names.

Tesla has a handful of cars, Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes-Benz have dozens of models.

Consider the companies that either ended or significantly reduced the portfolio of popular ICE vehicles.

I'm thinkin' B.S.

With the Global Warming Scam in full swing, the "woke" crowd is buying them, but no one with common sense is being fooled.

Forcing public transportation on the 15-minute route is unnecessary, since the inner-city tribal parasites don't work, anyway. Sanity will return one day, from home-schooled and private-school non-indoctrinated who will take back the former USA.

Are the sales numbers also accounting for the number of vehicles returned, like Hertz returned/sold-off thousands of Teslas because people didn’t want to rent them?

This reminds me of the book “How to Lie with Statistics” by Darrell Huff.

My thoughts exactly. I find it really hard to believe that there’s that many stupid motorists out there.

There surely aren’t enough filling stations to accomodate these rich folks.

Best selling cars?

Or the most recalled cars?

2.2 Million

Your post prompted me to search for a comparison of power generation by country.  I found one on Wiki.

And yes, China, USA, and India are at the top of the list.  The data surprises me. For instance, natural gas generation is double that of nuclear in the U.S.

Also the country to country contrasts are interesting.

The other manufacturers could design better looking cars that do not have those big ugly grills!

Tesla styling looks terrible. No way would a owner of one want to buy another with all the problems electric cars have.

They won’t say it out loud, but Discount Tire loves Teslas. The tires wear out 5 times faster, and a set of tires starts at $1500.

BMW is crazy with the number of models they have. I wonder if they’ll slim down their line up what with the price of energy going up.

For instance, natural gas generation is double that of nuclear in the U.S.

No shocker there. If you recall during the Obama years the EPA forced a lot of power companies to shut down some of their coal plants and switch then to "clean burning natural gas" fueled plants. This was when the Dims thought of nat gas as the way to save us from our carbon sins. Of course, a few years later the Dims are punishing us for using nat gas.

That's what prompted me to install a bunch of solar and try to be more energy self-reliant.
