I recently purchased a Motorola Edge 2024 phone to replace an older Motorola phone which broke. Whereas the voice quality is quite improved over the old phone, people I'm talking to complain that "you're cutting in and out" or "they can't hear me", prematurely having to end the call. This is obviously very annoying and potentially dangerous, if I could not reach emergency help. I have Mint phone service, with an e-SIM card. They said they would "strengthen my signal". I think the problem occurs mostly at home. I turned off the phone's wi-fi, following a suggestion. It did not...

I am tired of seeing this guy's posts on any subject he can post to smear Jews. His handle is "Jack". Anyone else see his virulent drivel?

I've been perusing many anti-virus rating sites and I'm still somewhat confused. I don't really use VPN, I don't need parental controls, and I want something easy to understand. Most of the websites give Bitdefender a top rating, followed by Norton. I once had a bad experience with Norton, so I still have that bad taste in my mouth. And now, a friend is asking me what anti-virus software HE should use, since his is expiring soon. Can we please review what would make a good antivirus for my Apple iMac?

I've been faithfully watching Charlie Kirk's show right after Steve Bannon on Real America's Voice. Charlie has been very busy lining up people to go out and get people to vote. I think they even knocked on doors. Yet during tonight's election results, I haven't heard any mention of Charlie or praise for his efforts. Why not?

I guess you can't fix stupid. Why would anyone vote for a hack, who publicly had a married boyfriend and paid him from taxpayer money? Something's very wrong with that.

I meant to make notes on everything you guys suggested, but I can't find it.

I have been happily using Kaspersky anti-virus software to protect my computer for years. It never caused me any problems. Other softwares, notably NORTON, allowed a virus to infect my computer years ago, and could not be removed by home measures. So the BIDEN administration has decided that Kaspersky is too much of a risk by a hostile foreign government to continue to operate in the U.S. and now the company has to close shop in the U.S. and fire all its employees. I haven't shopped for a new anti-virus software for years. Which ones should I look at? I...

I just happened to run across this mess online. I was appalled to see SO MANY PEOPLE espousing the libtard cause, even though it has led to an economic downturn, a huge budget problem, all the problems associated with illegals, and the problems associated with the Biden crime family. Who are these people? Where do they get their funding? And how could they possibly be so stupid?

My friend's truck sustained a lot of damage from an exploding tire. She can't afford to fix it. I thought she should look for a hatchback car instead of a truck, as it would be cheaper. What would be some decent hatchbacks which would carry plenty of cargo and give her several years, at least, of service? How should she further research cars? I was lucky, inheriting all my father's used cars until I finally bought my present car, which I bought new. So I don't have much experience in buying used cars or where to find a good one.

I am trying to decide between Visible (Not the + one) and Mint cell phone services. My needs are simple; I don't do gaming, streaming, watch movies on the phone, etc. I call people; I receive calls (not from foreign countries), I make and receive texts and I research stuff on line (like price comparisons between stores). Do any FReepers have experience with Visible or Mint? I'd appreciate their input.

I followed the advice of several of the responding electrical mavens and contacted Alen, who manufactures the air purifier I have which sporadically turns itself off, even at different outlets. Alen has a lifetime warranty, so they are shipping me a totally new one. Wow!

I've had an Alen FIT50 air purifier for several years. Lately, it turns itself off when plugged into a given outlet for a few weeks. Plugging it into a different outlet, it starts right back up again and works well for a few weeks. Then it stops again. I've even merely changed it from being plugged into the upper slots, where it stopped working after a few weeks, to the lower slots, where it started working again, in the same outlet. Never saw anything like this before. Does anyone know why this air purifier stops working in a given slot...

Ed Pierson was flying from Seattle to New Jersey in 2023, when he ended up boarding a plane he’d never wanted to fly on. The Seattle resident booked with Alaska Airlines last March, purposefully selecting a flight with a plane he was happy to board – essentially, anything but a Boeing 737 Max. “I got to the airport, checked again that it wasn’t the Max. I went through security, got coffee. I walked onto the plane – I thought, it’s kinda new,” Pierson told CNN. “Then I sat down and on the emergency card [in the seat pocket] it said...

A Brooklyn high school has become a haven for Hitler-loving hooligans who terrorize Jewish teachers and classmates, The Post has learned. On Oct. 26, just three weeks after the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis, 40 to 50 teens marched through Origins HS in Sheepshead Bay waving a Palestinian flag and chanting “Death to Israel!” and “Kill the Jews!” staffers said. The hateful procession was shocking even for Origins, a school rife with bias and bullying, insiders told The Post. “I live in fear of going to work every day,” said global history teacher Danielle Kaminsky. According to interviews...
