My first reaction is to agree with the author. The requirements are ridiculous to those of us familiar and living in the United States. But for Europe they’re practically conservative.
My reading of history of the Founding Fathers is that they could go to Washington, serve a term, and go home. Too bad that never stuck. Like Rush used to say, "D.C. is Hollywood for ugly people."
Just like Ginsberg, Byrd, Kennedy, and every other globalist that will only go out feet first. Aides vote for them from their hospital bed. These are the people that run our country.
