um, we buy a tremendous amount of OIL and fertilizer(potash) from Canada. We NEED these two commodities.
We also buy a lot of lumber from Canada. Even with a 45% tariff and duty on their lumber.

Canada is still our largest trading partner.

Yes the ‘trade war’ is a mere side effect of Trump’s determination to keep China from gaining a foothold on the North American continent. Carney is a globalist who cares nothing for Canada and is perfectly willing to sacrifice Canadian well being for his bromance with Xi.
