(VIDEO-AT-LINK)Last night at Dallas police headquarters, a man opened fire on officers after planting bombs around the building which police later detonated. After a lengthy standoff and a barrage of bullets flying both ways, the gunman is dead and miraculously, no police were injured. What’s got social media abuzz with anger and disbelief is how CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield described the attacker: “It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters.” If you’re disgusted, you’re not alone: (VIDEO-AT-LINK)[continued]

"Dear race-baiters already politicizing the Dallas PD shooting, Here you are. I knew you’d show up. You always do. No matter the incident, no matter how unrelated, no matter who it hurts, you’ll find a way to twist any and all ongoing tragedies into a racially charged, victimization contest. Good lord, I can’t stand you. As I write this, the man who launched an assault on the Dallas PD is no more,...

Police were continuing to negotiate with a man in an armored vehicle after he opened fire on Dallas police headquarters and led dozens of squad cars on a chase that ended in Hutchins. No injuries had been confirmed in the attack early Saturday, though the gunman told police he had been wounded. The man has identified himself as James Boulware, 50, who has a history of family violence and blames authorities for his losing custody of his son, Dallas police Chief David Brown said. The gunman said he was going to blow up police because they “took his child and...

After November’s elections, Senator John McCain, former Congressman Dick Armey and others called for a return to the principles and policies of Ronald Reagan. At the time these policies were first advanced, many observers believed they constituted a revolution. But how did Reagan himself come to these views and where did he learn to translate them from one man’s vision into governmental policies and acts? In my book, The Education of Ronald Reagan: The General Electric Years and the Untold Story of his Conversion to Conservatism, I trace Reagan’s evolution from liberal to conservative, from actor to politician. The changes...

I am just showing some love to a fellow former Seminole, Peter Boulware, who had a stellar career as a Baltimore Raven after his All-America days at FSU. Peter has returned to Tallahassee with his family, where he is part owner and vice-president of a small business (Legacy Toyota), and he is running as a Republican for a state house seat that hasn't gone Republican in generations. From a quick reading through his website, it's apparent that he hasn't taken public positions on many policy issues. Hopefully seeing support from conservative voters will help to shape some of his positions....
