I am just showing some love to a fellow former Seminole, Peter Boulware, who had a stellar career as a Baltimore Raven after his All-America days at FSU. Peter has returned to Tallahassee with his family, where he is part owner and vice-president of a small business (Legacy Toyota), and he is running as a Republican for a state house seat that hasn't gone Republican in generations. From a quick reading through his website, it's apparent that he hasn't taken public positions on many policy issues. Hopefully seeing support from conservative voters will help to shape some of his positions.
I look forward to seeing Peter in the state house and hope to learn more about his political views in the future.
Bull rush?
Hey, I’m a nole myself, though it’s been nearly thirty years.
My dad graduated from FSU in 1964, me 1982. I have never been back but sure miss that place. What a great time! I was the there the year they first went to the Orange bowl, when Bobby had dual quarterbacks.
Is Ken’s still there?
I haven’t been there for quite some time. I live in Daytona Beach now. I have no idea about Ken’s.
After Peter Boulware, we changed that to “Boul Rush”
I was lucky enough to go to FSU while he played. Very exciting player to watch.
Had no idea he was getting involved in politics now. Very cool.
As a Cane’s fan, I remember that guy. Great player. Nice to see he is a Republican.
I don’t believe it is. The building is still there.
Ken’s still seems to be included in lists of local bars/nightspots online.
I can’t imagine that place ever closing. My parents when there when they were in school in the late 60s. I got busted for underage drinking there in 1994. Some traditions never die.
1st when = went
I hope it is still there. My roommate was a 5’ pool shark. She and I could go in there and drink all night as she beat up on the boys at pool for a beer a game.
If they closed, I guess they threw out all our mugs. Tallahassee is such a beautiful city. I’ve always wanted to go back to visit, but alas, live out west and can’t ever afford it. Maybe, after my kids are out of college.
