BEDFORD — The district attorney in Bedford County has brought dozens of charges against a man for firing a 12-gauge shotgun at civil rights marchers last August, striking one in the face and endangering 19 others. The announcement from Lesley Childers-Potts came just days after Spotlight PA and The Tribune-Democrat learned the prosecutor had been given the results of a State Police investigation into the shooting in early March — and just one day after the news organizations asked why she hadn’t acted on it. Terry Myers, 51 of Schellsburg, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a...

Listen to the history of the Bedford Flag on Ammo.com’s Resistance Library Podcast! On this episode of the Resistance Library Podcast, Sam and Dave talk about the history of the Bedford Flag. Dating back to the early 18th century, the Bedford Flag is America’s oldest historically attested flag. Previously, historians thought the flag dated as far back as the 1660s, but this was later proven false, as the color “Prussian blue” did not exist until 1704. It looks very much like something carried into battle by medieval knights, so historians can be forgiven for looking so far back to find...

On a cold winter morning last February, a woman named Samantha assembled her AR-15 semi-automatic rifle in the parking area next to Timbrook Public Library in Campbell County, Virginia. Her husband, Chad, had his AR-15 in hand and commented, "I would trust going into a gun fight right next to my wife. I've seen her shoot." Samantha was one of a handful of women attending the call for volunteers to join a group calling itself the Campbell County Militia. Along with Chad and Samantha (who asked to have their last name withheld), over 200 people were at the event, most...

Massachusetts now forced into border spat It’s finally been confirmed what was suspected all along — Massachusetts is feeling the pain of the chaotic border crisis. Forget the denials. Secret flights of illegal immigrants have made their way to Bedford and Boston. .... We’ve learned from immigration officials that four planes filled with detainees ... as the U.S. scrambles to cap the immigration crisis. .... This should alarm everybody in the Bay State, because we don’t know how many illegals are passing through or hanging around; what communicable diseases they may carry; if any are sex offenders, drug-runners, gang members...

A new name will be proposed in January. The way things have been going lately, I decided it was time to reach back into the nation's history and dig deep for a little inspiration. Shortly after the Roberts/Obamacare decision, I gave thought to flying the Gadsden Flag, but that just wasn't a strong enough message...the Bedford Flag was more expressive about how I feel, but where to find one? You can buy some cheap nylon ones online, but they look trashy and are probably made in China. I decided to make my own, and today, just about wrapped it up...I took photos along the way, some with my...
