•White's body was found in a stairwell 60ft from his door on June 12, 2020

All hail government health care!

Get an archeologist.
RIP
Ah, yes.
The Department of Veterans Affairs.
It is the most dangerous and destructive enemy to any US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, And Marine brave enough to face it.
May God be with anyone who dares accept his fate when dealing with such a vile place.
Obviously Covid caused.
They recommended streamlining the hierarchy and improving leadership

Nearly a month of zero traffic on that stairwell?
Mofos coming in illegally through the southern US border and those from Afghanistan get treated better than our Vets.
I certainly hope Vets don’t forget this......
.
Wearing a mask though so the VA facility is compliant.
Reminds me of our sheriff who led of team of rescuers looking for a lady who was in a car accident after she fled the vehicle during a snowstorm. Sheriff said he was just following the rules on how to conduct a grid pattern search. Finally, a week later, a Chicago TV station sent out a chopper on their own and found her body right away in a corn field a half a mile from her car.
Probably primarily never used except as an emergency exit. As a fire inspector I can tell you many such exits are never used unless there’s an emergency or during an annual inspection. Many’s the time I’ve had to put my shoulder into the doors on these exits because they get stuck from never being opened.
VA facilities are hit or miss. If it is the model for a national health service /system, wish for good health.
Yes, something very similar happened at Grady Memorial Hospital in 1970-71.An elderly patient went missing and after a big search was found dead in an emergency exit stairwell.
And here I thought with all the covidiocy, they were supposed to power-clean everything and everywhere.
RIP brother. May these incompetent idiots suffer for their crimes against you.
Thank God I live in a place where I am not forced to rely on a VA hospital.
If the American Department of Veterans Affairs is anything like the Australian Department of Veterans Affairs (sounds like it is unfortunately) then I share my American brothers mysery and anger.
DVA: Deny Veterans Anything.
"We're from the government and we're here to help you!"
For the second year, we could NOT do our WV VA benefit run, which winds up on open grounds, out in the fresh and sunshine because of “covid”.
Those vets depend on the money raised by the thousands of bikers to buy “luxuries” like soap, toothpaste and toilet paper.
Bastards.
Every time somebody says something to my face about “the pandemic”, it’s all I can do to not smack the stupid right outta them.
“They recommended streamlining the hierarchy and improving leadership”
What a clusterf*** the VA management is.
My wife is an MD and worked at the VA for over 30 years, most as a department head. The VA does not have vertical lines of authority. She had other MD’s, nurses, social workers, psychologists, clerical staff in her department, but yet no one answered to her, even though she was responsible for their work.
The VA lines of authority are all horizontal.
There are “chiefs” for each specialty. It is virtually impossible to reprimand the person whom you are required to manage.
