Link to Joe Bastardi twitter page. Text of relevant tweets follows: Facebook banned my You Tube Video Mon of Gulf situation pretty darn close to whats evolving Wonder what set off the banning? Giving people a jump on the storm?, after all if it comes out of nowhere and no one was aware of it , it can be blamed on climate change.Pardon my cynicism I guess trying to help people get ready, was against community standards. This is what happened when information gets limited because someone that thinks they know better takes control. They did take it off, but...

Climate alarmists sometimes like to claim skeptical scientists don’t exist, but they do, and one meteorologist had a lot to say on the subject. In an interview with the MRC’s Business and Media Institute, well-known meteorologist Joe Bastardi dissected and criticized major aspects of the climate change alarmism movement. Drawing on his knowledge of weather and climate history, Bastardi said that “extreme weather” events the media talk about so much are commonplace and the result of normal variability. He also attacked basic arguments about CO2, scientific consensus and alarmist media bias. Bastardi contended that climate alarmism is “ludicrous” and “not...

I don't watch the Olympics that much (except for wrestling, which I think should be moved to a winter sport since it would give it more visibility), but I used to love watching figure skating. However, the SNL skit with Chris Farley ruined it for me. Every time someone gets out there, all I can see is this. But even the Olympics are now being turned into a propaganda message, as we are hearing about how warm it is. Hello, McFly, Sochi's normal high is 52 degrees in winter. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about Sochi: According to...

“This is way overdone,” says meteorologist Joe Bastardi. “The one coming around Jan 25-31 will be much stronger.” Another Arctic blast to hit US next week, shouts the Daily Mail. A new cold-front is expected to hit the East Coast on Thursday. The upcoming front of icy temperatures is expected to bring arctic air to southern Canada and then move into the northern plains of the U.S. before moving to the Midwest and East Coast – each of which is still recovering from last week’s frigid temperatures. Forecasters expect the first stage of the new arctic blast to hit the...

This winter is on track to become the coldest for the nation as a whole since the 1980s or possibly even the late 1910s. According to AccuWeather.com Chief Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi, three or four out of the next five winters could be just as cold, if not colder. He is worried that next winter, for example, will be colder than this one. Bastardi adds that with the U.S. in the middle of one of its worst recessions in its history and the price of oil in question, he is extremely concerned about the prospect for more persistent cold...

Bastardi's WagerA former National Weather Service meteorologist has a challenge for climate scientists. Joe Bastardi’s great love is atmospheric science. He says he’s been fascinated by it “since I was a baby. My dad’s a meteorologist, his great-grandfather was the town weatherman in Sicily, and my son wants to be a meteorologist.†And he’s disturbed by how the science, which he values for its own sake, has been infected with politics. According to Bastardi, the intelligentsia see new weather developments as an “incessant stream of confirmations†of global warming: “I just took out the New York Times from ten years...

For people who hate cold weather, the forecast for the next couple of weeks is bad news. Waves of frigid air invading the U.S. will become progressively colder and more widespread, with the worst coming in the third week of January. Many people in the East will get a slight taste of the colder air this weekend before more substantial cold takes hold from coast to coast next week. This upcoming cold weather pattern could yield snow or ice in places that don't often get it. Seattle, Wash., Portland, Ore., Dallas, Texas, Memphis, Tenn., and Charlotte, N.C., are all in...

Here’s something you’ll never hear from the Met Office. Joe Bastardi, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather, has laid into the the global warming lobby for making absurd claims, especially their assertion that the cold weather is caused by global warming. First he told Fox Business Network last week that: “These folks claiming that global warming is causing severe cold – that’s like the kid on the playground who doesn’t get his way and takes his ball home”. In fact, the cold weather “is predictable if you study cycles, if you study climatology… and don’t just say everything is global warming”....

Time after time, the Obama White House has demonstrated a desire to control the message and flow of information, whether it's issues on health care, the economy, bailouts and the latest - climate science. But AccuWeather.com's chief long-range and hurricane forecaster Joe Bastardi, who appeared on the Fox Business Network's Feb. 9 "Cavuto," warned...
