The United States will be able to buy sovereign base areas in Greenland that will become legal U.S. territory âforeverâ under the terms of a NATO-brokered deal at Davos, reports claim. A âframeworkâ for a future deal negotiated in meetings at the Davos summit in Switzerland this week will see the United States get a sovereign base area modelled on Britainâs military bases on the Island of Cyprus, it is stated. While those bases are not on the British mainland, the UK owns approximately three per cent of the island in two exclaves, which are legally and internationally recognised as...

On a training exercise from its home port in Guam, USS Minnesota is a forerunner to four Virginia class submarines that will be hosted at a Western Australian naval base from 2027, under the AUKUS partnership to transfer nuclear submarine capability to Australia. Commanding officer Jeffrey Corneille says the Virginia class submarine is âthe most advanced warship in the world.â âIf someone wakes up and they say âIs today the day?â, we make sure that they say âMaybe notâ,â he says, describing its deterrent role. Around 50-80 United States navy personnel will arrive by the middle of the year at...

Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) claimed Monday on CNNâs âThe Situation Roomâ that âxenophobic and racistâ Republican voters respond with campaign donations to GOP members and petition signatures when Republican lawmakers call her out. Co-host Pamela Brown said, âI want to follow up with something else, because we recently had one of your Republican colleagues, Brandon Gill, on the show. He said that America would be better off if you were arrested and deported. He also said that there was audio of you advising what he said are illegal immigrants here from Somalia on how to evade ICE detection. I want...

Syriaâs new government terminated a treaty granting Russia a long-term military presence in the Mediterranean, a deal brokered under ousted leader Bashar al-Assad, Syrian media reported Tuesday. Authorities also said that revenue from the port would ânow benefit the Syrian state,â reversing the previous agreement under which Russia received 65% of Tartusâ profits. The report added that Syriaâs new leadership may investigate the treatyâs economic impact on the country.

Former Rep. Max Rose (D-NY) claimed Wednesday on âMSNBC Reportsâ that the ânatureâ of the MAGA base was âvery angry, aggressiveâ and disregarded facts. Guest host Yamiche Alcindor said, âSo, congressman, what do you make of this support for Matt Gaetz among Trump allies and do you think he will be able to really have a run for office especially after now this report comes out with all of these allegations?â Rose said, âThis is pretty sick and disturbing thing to think about. That, one, there could be clear evidence that someone did these things while they were a member...

Deep within the ice sheet of Greenland lies a US military secret that hasn't been seen since the 1960s, but a NASA flyover earlier this year has provided an unprecedented look at the buried Cold War relic. Camp Century, constructed in 1959 by the US Army Corps of Engineers, was built directly into the ice sheet of Greenland, giving it an interior reminiscent of Echo Base on the frozen world of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. At the heart of the facility was the PM-2A portable nuclear reactor, which provided power for the sprawling "city under the ice" that...

Joy Behar told her co-hosts Thursday on ABCâs âThe Viewâ that supporters of former President Donald Trump are addicted to his lies, adding, âThey want to believe it.â Behar said, âTo the lying, though, George Conway, I like George Conway, I wish he would come on here, he says that his base is addicted to the lies, you know. They are addict. And I have a friend who was a drug counselor and he said that nothing trumps an addiction, an addiction trumps everything.â Co-host Sunny Hostin said, âYou have to admit it.â Behar said, âEven relationships which is why...

Britainâs left-wing government announced a plan on Thursday to surrender sovereignty of a British Overseas Territory in the Indian Ocean that has hosted an important joint U.S.-UK military base and listening post for the past 50 years. The United Kingdom is giving the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, from whom it bought the archipelago in the 1960s. The announcement is the latest development in years of sovereignty claims by Mauritius, now drifting into Chinaâs sphere of influence, which until recently were not even recognised as legitimate by the UK or its allies. Just last week, President of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun barracked...

Nearly 6 in 10 Democrats say they would base their vote solely on how a candidate votes on abortion, a YouGov poll found. When asked, âWould you vote for or against a candidate just on the basis of their position on the abortion issue?â 58 percent of Democrat respondents said âyes.â Over a quarter (26 percent) said ânoâ and 17 percent are ânot sure.â In contrast, 43 percent of independents and 58 percent of Republicans say they would not vote for or against a candidate just on the basis of their abortion position, the survey found. Thirty-one percent of independents...

I really donât like politics. But as Christians, we must not distance ourselves from politics because itâs politics and politicians that direct our public discourse, and itâs what we do as Christians, regarding politics, that determines the trajectory of our society and culture. ďťżWe must not be ignorant of the devilâs devices. Will we continue to allow God and Jesus Christ to be erased and minimalized, or will we stand boldly for the One we claim to serve? Will we continue to bow the knee to âCaesarâ or is there no king in America except King Jesus for us? Will...

Did terrorists just scout out a US Marine base? Amazingly, Americans have no idea one way or the other â despite a troubling incident this month suggesting thatâs exactly what happened. In fact, it took nearly two weeks for top brass at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia just to alert its own rank-and-file about an attempt by two Jordanians to drive their box truck onto the base before being blocked by guards. Thatâs outrageous enough, yet the story still remains far from clear. Indeed, a mountain of questions need answers.

PHILADELPHIA - President Bidenâs supporters are willing to give him a pass on allegations he accepted a $5 million bribe from a Ukraine businessman, but less forgiving are independent voters who will be crucial in the general election next year. Mr. Biden has laughed it off as âa load of malarkey.â The crowd was equally dismissive of the bribery allegations at his campaign kickoff Saturday with union leaders, many of whom came from out of state to fill the ballroom at Philadelphiaâs convention center. âItâs one of many conspiracy theories trying to bring Biden down,â said Bill Sciblo, a union...

Follow along with me now. This is not complicated. Russia reached a tentative agreement with the Government of Sudan to build a base for the Russian Navy on Sudanâs coast. Yet the media claims that Moscow is behind the current counter coup by the Rapid Security Force aka RSF, which is trying to replace the Government that reached the agreement with Russia. Not one word about the United States activities there. Here is one example: The Russian mercenary group Wagner has been supplying the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in fights against the Sudanese army, according to CNN. Okay....

The United States of America, unlike any other nation, maintains a massive network of foreign military installations around the world. How was this created and how is it continued? Some of these physical installations are on land occupied as spoils of war. Most are maintained through collaborations with governments, many of them brutal and oppressive governments benefiting from the basesâ presence. In many cases, human beings were displaced to make room for these military installations, often depriving people of farmland, adding huge amounts of pollution to local water systems and the air, and existing as an unwelcome presence. Please help...

Senator Mitt Romney conceded that former President Donald Trump's "hold" over the GOP is "unlikely to be swayed" despite an ongoing grand jury investigation in New York that could lead to criminal charges against the former commander in chief. Prosecutors in New York have convened a grand jury as part of a criminal investigation into Trump and his business practices, The Washington Post first reported this week. Although Trump and his businessâthe Trump Organizationâhave been under investigation for some time, legal experts have said the convening of a grand jury demonstrates the seriousness of the charges being considered. But Romney...

Itâs now a global pandemic in every sense of the word. The coronavirus scourge has affected all seven continents after COVID-19 cases were recorded in Antarctica for the first time Monday. The virus reportedly infected 36 people at a Chilean research base. That number included 26 members of the Chilean army along with 10 maintenance workers, Newsweek reported. The infected, who were stationed at General Bernardo OâHiggins Riquelme, tested âpositive for COVID-19â after the âadministration of a PCR test,â according to a statement by the Chilean army to local news outlet 24 Horas. At least some of those infected exhibited...
