Reports: Biden Beefing up U.S. Military Presence in Kurdish Syria

Multiple reports from northern Syria on Thursday indicated the U.S. military is reinforcing its presence in Syrian Kurdistan, or Rojava, potentially building a new base in the city of Kobani.

The regional outlet Kurdistan 24 reported on Thursday that “a convoy of 50 trucks carrying Bremer walls entered Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)-controlled areas in northeastern Syria (Rojava) on Thursday.” Citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a non-governmental organization (NGO), Kurdistan 24 reported that the convoy was headed to the Kurdish city of Kobani, on the Turkish border.

“Sources from the observatory indicated that the delivery is part of ongoing efforts by US forces to reinforce existing bases and establish a new military facility in Kobani,” Kurdistan 24 reported. “Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that excavation and construction work is expected to begin on Friday, with additional reinforcements anticipated.”

The independent news outlet Iran International separately reported on Thursday, citing news sources tied to the SDF, that the U.S. “coalition” against the Islamic State was “constructing a military base in Kobani.” The SDF-linked news outlets also confirmed sightings of the construction materials convoy heading to the city.

Israeli's are comfortable with Druze and Kurdish (SDF) local representation. the rest of Jihadi's in Syria are tied to Turkey.

At least 1/2 of the surrounding Middle East governments are not happy with Turkey in control. Turkey's Islamist Dictator is NOT Trusted by at least 5 Middle East governments, partially because he supports and protects remaining ISIS Terrorists, Hamas, PLO, and Hezbollah.

The Deep State’s foreign policy template:

“We need to be involved in (insert name of country here). Because if we don’t (insert bad thing here).”

Trump 2.0 will try to break us out of this routine. It remains to be seen how successful he will be.

We won the War with ISIS, with help from the N. Syrian Kurds and their allies. Our soldier admired the Kurds in battle and the Kurds and took the risks and our soldier did the battle support by air support, artillery, intelligence and planning. It was not just US involved. The Gulf Coalition understand where this goes. It was an international conflict.

I understand your perspective. No one sane wants a war. The Jihadi’s are not sane.

Trump will deal with this in his own way. He does not want involvement in War.

He will support and deal with Israel, Saudi Arabia and several others ME nations that are responsible.

Didn’t Defense Department’s Sabrina Singh just deny this in the last couple hours?

He might have, but I have not read anything saying that.

My news from the Middle East say it is already underway. That does not mean it cannot be reversed.

Since the Gulf Coalition is behind the elimination of ISIS, I doubt the Kurds will surrender their weapons as the French Diplomats who are in Syria have advocated. (French always bow and surrender to Jihadi’s) Look the mess that they and the rest of the EU are in with radical Muslims.

The last Report on the French and German diplomats in Syria was this morning at 6:30AM.

I did a background read on Singh.

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary (Indian Family, academic).

I doubt very seriously that she is in a position to make that statement accurately.

However the State Department and their counter parts at the DOD have been known to lie. Especially under a ComDem Lame Duck with a broken wing and brain.

Everything the USA has done in the mid-east in the last 35 years has had the effect of genociding Christians, and supporting and empowering Islamists, either directly or through unintended consequences

Its time to just STOP.

I went to the original source, it is one the I know from past experience as almost always accurate.

https://www.kurdistan24.net/en/story/817970/us-forces-bolster-military-presence-in-northeastern-syria-amid-rising-tensions

The source is in Iraq, the editor there was Laurie Mylroie - Kurdistan 24 when I first started following the Middle East.

https://www.kurdistan24.net/en/profile/361155

She is knowledgeable and on good terms with the 2 major Kurdish families in Iraq. Barzani and Talabani.

She is not as well informed with N.E. Syrian Kurds, but knows the region. I had several conversations with her back about 5-7 years ago. I already knew her from a book she wrote about US political figures.

State Department is responsible. The DOD was overruled, and stupid stuff happened.

Christian Genocide is not what happened in N. Syria. But, it is common in many ME Countries. Those fighting the Islamist Jihadi’s are present in the ME. They do not show their intent most of the time. Iran, Turkey, Syria and parts of Iraq have expelled or killed Christians and other religious groups.

Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar (partial), Egypt, and Israel don’t like/trust the Islamic Terrorists.

It was the Kurds with U.S. expert and special forces help that fought to rid the Kuridsh dominent area in Syria of ISIS, which together we largely did. Now the ISIS tupes hope to again take advantage of mayhem in Syria and again make our Kurdish friends their target. THAT is what this report is really about.

Yes, Our fight against Islamic Jihadists will be an “endless war” as the Islamic jihadists across the globe will always develop new venues and new mthods to pursue it. It is not an “endless war” by our choice. The Islamic Jihdists read it as a command right out of the Quran.

Nobody (hardly anybody) misses Assad. FACT.

Everyone I ever got to know in Syria, hated and did not trust Assad. He executed million of his citizens, of various flavor. He may have been worse than his father and worse than Saddam.

The Jihadi’s taking over Syria are beating and part of the time executing people who worked for Assad. They are executing the Alawites. I have seen the video’s. It is not isolated.

“Everything the USA has done in the mid-east in the last 35 years has had the effect of genociding Christians, and supporting and empowering Islamists”

Nonsense. The Islamic johdists needed no help or excuses from us. They are the ones that sell the idea that our actions are what cause them to be violent Islamic Jihdists. That you buy it is part of our problem. They only need to read and believe the Quran.

It seems Tucker Carlson does. Hee commended Assad for protecting the Christians or sumping. Also, alt lite(?) Conservative, Paul Joseph Watson, had a favorable video on Dr. Assad.

Absolutely Correct.

But the idiots at the State Department must not be allowed to waste the allies in the Coalition and the threat against Israel.

Between you and I, If we were not in it, God would still win. And Israel and Israeli’s would still belong to him.

I am watching this daily on Amir Tsarfati’s behold israel channel.

I have never observed anything so amazing. It is moment to moment. Man is not doing this on his own.
