After President Trump made comments over the weekend that players should be "suspended or fired" for protesting the national anthem, the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to sit out the national anthem. Head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters before Sunday's game in Chicago against the Bears that his team wouldn't be participating in the anthem because "(It's) not to be disrespectful to the anthem, but it's to remove ourselves from the circumstance. People shouldn't have to choose. If a guy wants to go about his normal business and participate for the anthem, he shouldn't have to be forced to choose sides," Tomlin...

After pouring hot sauce into his eyes to keep himself awake no longer worked, Army Pfc. Alex Blum began snorting chewing tobacco. When that failed, he cut his earlobe with a knife. Still, after being pushed to strenuous physical activity for over 30 hours, he could barely keep his eyes open. The months he spent training to be an Army Ranger tormented him physically and psychologically, and left him changed as a person. They may even have turned him into a bank robber.

It’s still hard for Kris “Tanto” Paronto to share all of what happened in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012.

“Parts are still hard for me to talk about,” Paronto, a former Army Ranger...

That has been an issue of so much debate that a special House committee studied the Islamic militant attack on the U.S. State Department Special Mission Compound in Libya — and the response from Paronto and others on the CIA annex security team — that occurred on the 11th anniversary of 9/11.

“I understand Kaepernick’s intention, however I disagree with his means. His NBA counterparts protested the same ideas in a way that neither hurt the country, nor ignored the ideals that people of color have fought and died which; ideals represented by the symbolism of the American Flag and words of the National Anthem. As a member of a national organization, reaping the benefits of a country that apparently oppresses people who look like him, his argument is thin on a personal level. Doing what Dwayne Wade and company did at a game opener to support BLM, or making a public...

It was one of the tea party’s few highlights in Tuesday’s congressional primaries. But laying claim to former GOP House speaker John Boehner’s old seat (in all likelihood) is a big one, both for the bragging rights and the momentum it gives House conservatives in their ongoing fight to purify their party ideologically. Warren Davidson, a businessman and former Army Ranger, won a 15-way Republican primary Tuesday in the special election for Ohio’s 8th Congressional District. The tea party candidate rather easily bested more moderate candidates, including two state lawmakers, in a campaign that quickly became ground zero for the...

Fmr. FBI Counterterrorism Agent: We've Received 'Nearly Zero Help' from U.S. Muslim Community Since 9/11 by Tony Lee 7 Dec 2015 Though President Barack Obama claimed that America must "enlist Muslim communities" to combat terrorism in his Sunday evening Oval Office address, former FBI Counterterrorism Agent John Guandolo said on Monday's Breitbart News Daily (6AM-9AM EST on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125) that since 9/11, "we collectively have received nearly zero help from the Muslim Community." OLYMPIA, Wash. -- In his first public statements about the death of Pat Tillman, the former NFL player turned Army Ranger, one of the fellow Rangers involved in the 2004 friendly-fire incident in Afghanistan told ESPN's "Outside the Lines" he has lived for 10 years with the thought that he might have fired the fatal shots. The Greatest Hero America Never Knew The true story of Waco's Col. Robert Howard. By by David Feherty The Department of Homeland Security is not doing its job. As proof, I, David Feherty, a 17-year resident of the Dallas area but an Irishman by birth, recently became an American citizen. There goes the neighborhood—but yay, me! The reason I felt compelled to become an American is my Troops First Foundation, a nonprofit organization that does its best to improve the quality of life and future prospects of some of our most severely wounded servicemen and women. I became involved after...

By a 3-2 majority, the highest military appeals court has upheld Army Ranger 1st Lt. Michael Behenna's conviction for the unpremediated murder of a detainee and al-Qaeda-operative in Iraq named Ali Mansur. While Michael still could receive clemency, his legal appeals are now officially exhausted. Barring clemency, Michael will remain at Leavenworth military prison until 2024. What a blow. What a disgrace.I just finished reading the majority opinion. It is a chilling document. It contains analysis of whether Michael had "the right to act in self-defense" when the detainee he was questioning about IED attacks that had recently killed two...

During the past nine months, I've written and/or published 22 posts about the case of 1st Lt. Michael Behenna, an Army Ranger now serving a 15-year sentence after being found guilty of unpremeditated murder in the shooting death of Ali Mansur, a known Al-Qaeda operative operating. Today, I share three just-obtained photos which show the scene where a trail of injustice began in the area of Albu Toma, north of Baghdad.

MOORHEAD - Heather Arntson had already dialed 911 to report the car that slammed into an SUV carrying her husband, herself and their four children, including a 3-month-old baby and 20-month-old toddler. But when the car’s alleged drunken driver tried to flee the south Moorhead scene, she called 911 again – only, it was now the driver who was probably in the greatest danger. “I said, ‘The suspect’s running now, and he picked the wrong guy because my husband’s an Army Ranger,’ ” she said she told the dispatcher. Her husband, Mike Arntson, was able to chase down the driver...

The things I could say to the Hunter detractors will give the Mods and JimRob massive heart attacks. But I won’t do that. I do hope you’re all happy now. You, along with the others and the lame-stream media, have succeeded in forcing Hunter to drop out. After him, there isn’t any other Conservative in the race. No, Thompson doesn’t come close as he’s supported amnesty, campaign-finance reform and voted to give China permanent MFN status. You all have succeeded in forcing our absolute best chance of turning this country around to drop out. The one man who won’t sell...

What do Air Force Brigadier General Chuck Yeager and Ann Coulter have in common with the Missouri Republican Assembly? Their endorsement of what the Missouri Republican assembly called a “true Republican”! MRA state president Chris Brown stated, “Congressman Hunter is a true social conservative and honestly represents the Republican Wing of the Republican Party, when you add together Duncan Hunter’s commitment to the military, American jobs, and fighting for family and life issues, there is no better choice for President. America needs Hunter’s integrity, courage and proven leadership.” Duncan Hunter is a fourteen term Congressman and Vietnam War Veteran. Duncan...

MANCHESTER – Chuck Yeager says Duncan Hunter has "The Right Stuff." So when the Republican's supporters felt wronged that their candidate was excluded from recent debates, the aviation legend took action. He teamed up with former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith, R-N.H., on Saturday to host a radio talk show for Hunter in an effort to reach thousands of likely voters. "Duncan is the only one I know who is running for President who is not trying to buy his way into the White House," Yeager said in a telephone interview last night from his home in California. Hunter, a congressman...
