ROME - Italian newspapers reported Sunday that German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer was privately married in Rome the day before. The reports said the 57-year-old and his 29-year-old bride, Minu Barati, were married in the Rome city hall in ceremonies conducted by mayor Walter Veltroni. "We are friends," Veltroni told the press about his relationship with Fischer. "He likes Italy and Rome." Veltroni said the ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends of the couple.
