ROME - Italian newspapers reported Sunday that German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer was privately married in Rome the day before.
The reports said the 57-year-old and his 29-year-old bride, Minu Barati, were married in the Rome city hall in ceremonies conducted by mayor Walter Veltroni.
"We are friends," Veltroni told the press about his relationship with Fischer. "He likes Italy and Rome."
Veltroni said the ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends of the couple. Few other details were divulged other than that music at the wedding ceremony included Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" and "Springtime" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons concerto.
For Fischer, of Germany's Greens party and soon to depart Berlin's political stage as the country gains a "grand coalition" government between the Christian Democrats and Social Democrats, it is his fifth marriage.
His only comment was that "this is a completely private matter", the Rome press reports said.

Fischer has got an excellent taste in woman. His last wife was also twenty-something (AFAIK biology student) and unbelievable beautyful!
