Hoover Institute Senior Fellow Victor Davis Hanson said Friday on his podcast that he believes Democrats are feeling more depressed and angry than usual because they fear they could be losing.
Polls between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have tightened with fewer than five days until Election Day. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” the senior fellow called out a recent take from CNN’s senior reporter Harry Enten for claiming election polling could be underestimating Harris and noted that her campaign has shifted its resources from North Carolina to Virginia in search of a path to 270 electoral votes.
“My point is that I think that’s a standard response when they look at those internal polls. Now, why would I say that? They wouldn’t be shifting resources from North Carolina to Virginia,” Hanson said. “They’re ahead in Virginia, but if they were shifting resources from North Carolina to Virginia, then it would be because they’re behind in Virginia and they’re ahead, so far ahead in North Carolina, they don’t need it.”
“No, they’re shifting it because they’re behind in North Carolina, and their internal polls say they can’t win it. And I mean, internal polls that are specific, Latino groups, black groups, Asian women, men,” Hanson added. “They don’t have the numbers that they need to win that. So then they look at Virginia, and they have an alternate pathway to 270 and Virginia is absolutely central. While they’re still ahead, at the rate they’re losing in seven days, they will lose that state. So they’re putting resources in there.”

But, can Trump beat the cheat?
Wonder what “bombshell” the corporate media will come up with this weekend.
Nope. Sadly, Trump could very well win the popular vote but lose the Electoral vote. Honestly, the DEMs would love nothing more than to pin that scenario on Republicans.
You should donate $25.00 to Free Republic every time you post that.
“can Trump beat the cheat?”
Good question. I get aggravated when everyone, including our side, blathers about the polls, the paths, “on track”, etc. They’re totally not discussing the elephant in the room: CHEATING!!
This think 2020 never happened.
It’s certainly close enough to cheat.
Actually it is not close enough to cheat.
But to understand that you have to crunch the early vote numbers and ignore the lefty pollsters.
Here is what you need to do the work:
https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2024/10/24/american-voters-expectations-for-voting-this-year/
https://election.lab.ufl.edu/early-vote/2024-early-voting/
The Harris people know they are done.
If you crunch the numbers you will know why.
This time around, the Trump team will be hard pressed to question the results if the cheat gives the Marxist the win. There will be so many threats of prosecution and imprisonment that the GOP will cry “Uncle”.
Think Bannon, Navarro, Giuliani, and all the rest who raised their voices. And forget about protests and assembling to air grievances.
J6 has firmly squashed that option.
At this point I’m praying and remaining hopeful.
A guy posted a list of early voting in PA, in 2020 county by county, to reddit and it was repeated here.
I found statewide numbers for early voting in PA in 2020. But I have not found the source for them county by county — which is pretty important because the post showed far weaker early voting in the heavy Biden counties this year vs then.
Anyone know of a county by county source of PA early voting in 2020?
Hope you’re right.
“Wonder what “bombshell” the corporate media will come up with this weekend.”
None. Too late for that, would be too obvious.
On the other hand, people don’t know that Harris is a Hindu.
I donate to FR every quarter. I have a few more times before Jim sends me a bill.
No need for “hope”.
You can crunch the numbers for yourself.
Or The Carolina Panthers could win the Super Bowl.
I’ll be watching Mika and Joe first thing on Wednesday morning. I at least hope to.
Is she a practicing Hindu? I know her mother was a big influence, the father not as much. Parents divorced when she was seven.
I watched a few minutes of the PBS special last night. I turned it off immediately when it became a hit piece on President Trump. Negative all the way, positive for Harris.
I did get a nice sense of the propaganda. Images are powerful.
The message: Trump a narcissistic meanie, Kamala a disadvantaged child who overcame the stigma of a biracial identity.
As if anyone who watches PBS would vote for Trump.
