Earlier today, the Atlantic’s McKay Coppins published a lengthy profile on Mitt Romney, apparently part of Romney’s effort to set himself up as the noble Republican foil to an out-of-control president. These sorts of pieces, which are more about narrative setting than anything else, typically don’t contain a lot of new information, but this had one notable exception. About midway through, the usually guarded senator revealed that, just like fellow lone-voice-of reason-haver James Comey, he was the owner of a secret Twitter account. At one point, as Coppins asked him about the #IMPEACHMITTROMNEY hashtag Trump tweeted into being earlier this...

The bill was deemed to be to extreme even for Newsom’s predecessor, former Gov. Jerry Brown, who was also an enthusiastic advocate of gun...

LOS ANGELES, October 11, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) -- Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, a Catholic and presidential candidate for the Democratic party, called for churches and religious institutions to lose their tax-exempt status if they oppose same-sex “marriage.” Joining other Democratic candidates in defending their respective LGBTQ platform stances on Thursday evening during a CNN televised town hall, O’Rourke said, “There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone … that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us.” As the audience cheered, O’Rourke continued, saying, “And so as president, we are...

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign has achieved a presidential fundraising record by bringing in $125 million in the third quarter of the year, along with the Republican National Committee. The RNC said Tuesday that it raised more than $308 million in 2019 with $156 million in the bank. Obviously these funds will be used to fight Democrats’ ridiculous impeachment push. Trump is Breaking Records and Blew Obama’s Fundraising Out of the Water To compare, former President Barack Obama raised just over $70 million at this same juncture of his re-election in 2011. HUGE Q3 fundraising numbers thanks to @GOPChairwoman, @parscale,...

'Impeachment is not good enough for Trump' Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) expressed her desire to throw President Donald Trump in solitary confinement despite her previous opposition to the practice. Waters suggested that Trump should be tried and executed for treason or at the very least placed in solitary confinement after Tump characterized the Ukraine phone call whistleblower as "close to a spy." "Impeachment is not good enough for Trump," the often-outspoken congresswoman argued on Twitter. "He needs to be imprisoned & placed in solitary confinement. But for now, impeachment is the imperative." Despite her enthusiasm for putting Trump in...
