When it comes to the assassination attempt against former and potentially future President Donald Trump on July 13, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has been sharing details from whistleblowers about the incident, with more chilling details still coming out. As he revealed in a letter sent to Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe, a whistleblower "alleges that officials at Secret Service headquarters encouraged agents in charge of the trip not to request any additional security assets in its formal manpower request--effectively denying these assets through informal means." Not only is such information particularly damning to the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and...

The FBI has fired back at claims by a GOP congressman that the agency released the body of Thomas Matthew Crooks for cremation just 10 days after his assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month. The agency says it refutes allegations by Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., who says that when he requested to view Crooks' body on Aug. 5, nobody on the ground in Butler knew it had been handed back to the suspect's family on July 23. Higgins said the revelation "caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact." Higgins is looking into...

The video comes to my attention via the Twitter Account of Tony Seruga. The video appears to capture Thomas Crooks walking through the vendor section of the Butler rally at approximately 4:26pm, about one and a half hours before he began shooting. If the 4:26pm time is accurate, this is interesting because President Trump was initially scheduled to begin speaking at 5:00pm.

Eerie new photos of Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks have raised more questions about the failed assassination attempt. One of the images captures the 20-year-old Crooks perched on a wall in a grassy area on July 13 at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally - just moments before he opened fire. In the picture, Crooks can be seen holding up his cell phone - as if chatting to someone on a call. Investigators have still not determined what Crooks' motive was or whether he was indeed acting alone. The other picture captures the moment Crooks turns to look over his shoulder while...

A whistleblower alleged that Secret Service acting Director Ronald Rowe personally cut security resources and “retaliated” against agents with security concerns leading up to former President Donald Trump’s rally on July 13, according to a letter released Thursday. The whistleblower alleged that Rowe personally implemented “significant cuts” to the Counter Surveillance Division (CSD), which does advanced threat assessments for venues, and alleged that agents who expressed security concerns were “retaliated against,” according to Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley’s letter to Rowe. As a result, the CSD failed to perform its “typical evaluation” of the rally venue in Butler County, Pennsylvania,...

The photo of the apparent drone was taken by Kristinn Taylor at 3:54 p.m. EDT according to the time stamp on the image. Here is a screengrab of the photo with its time stamp. Kristinn took the photo from the pathway approaching the Secret Service magnetometer checkpoint, facing back toward the line of Trump supporters as they snaked their way from the parking area and merchandise row. Former President Donald Trump gave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a warm greeting Friday afternoon at Mar-a-Lago, giving his wife a kiss and embracing the Jewish leader before showing him where he was shot in the ear weeks ago. Trump, 78, opened his arms to embrace the Netanyahus, saying, “Come on in, nice to see you.” The GOP nominee then kissed Sara Netanyahu on both cheeks and pulled in the prime minister for a firm handshake. “The greatest dinner I ever had,” Trump said to the Jewish leader. Inside Mar-a-Lago, the former president showed Netanyahu the bullet wound on his...

Joe Biden directed Department of Homeland Security boss Alexandro Mayorkas to assemble an “independent security review” of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on July 13. The inclusion of Obama DHS boss Janet Napolitano ensures that this review will be anything but independent. Napolitano made her public debut in the 1991 campaign to keep Clarence Thomas off the U.S. Supreme Court. Anita Hill accused Thomas of sexually harassing her and Napolitano, then with a Phoenix law firm, represented Hill in the matter. In the confirmation proceedings, Hill’s witness Susan Hoerchner, “suddenly developed amnesia,” about parts of her story that contradicted...

Donald Trump's would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was flying a drone above the rally site two hours before the shooting and just 200 yards away from the stage, FBI Director Christopher Wray has revealed. Wray made the bombshell revelation to Congress on Wednesday during a grilling by lawmakers on the investigation into the assassination attempt on the former president and the massive security failures. Crooks shot Trump in the ear just 400 feet away from the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 from the roof of a nearby building just outside the security perimeter of the event. Wray revealed that...

Currently, Congress seems content to allow the FBI to investigate what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. This is the wrong approach. Because the government has an incentive to hide its own failures, when it comes to the attempt to assassinate Trump, especially given the U.S. Secret Service’s known failures, the must be an independent investigation. During my career, I worked several times with the United States Secret Service (“USSS”) on protective details when presidents and candidates came to our city. I believe the attempt to assassinate former President Trump was a horrific, epic failure, to say the least,...
