Rockets rained down on cities and towns, bulldozers toppled border fences, and hundreds of armed militants from Gaza flooded the border and crossed into Israel. Some militants arrived by paragliders; others used boats to storm Israeli beaches. The ensuing death and carnage by armed members of Hamas claimed more Israeli lives than any attack since the Holocaust and caught Israel by surprise. But threats from the terrorist group are nothing new. A ¬rundown of Hamas’ history reveals an organization with a persistent commitment to wiping Israel off the map.Launched in 1987 as an offshoot of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas has never...

It may be hard to believe, but the crisis at the southern border of the United States is getting worse. There is early morning reporting coming out of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas that exposes yet another treasonous attack by the illegitimate Biden regime against the American people. Reportedly, the Biden admin has created a new stream of American taxpayers’ money that is being given directly to migrants illegally streaming over the unprotected border. Here’s the start of this story. And the conveyor belt roars on in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Central Americans in family units- usually...

Seven shootings over the weekend, including a massacre at a Dallas-area outlet mall over the weekend, brought the total number of mass shootings in the U.S. this year over 200, according to the non-profit Gun Violence Archive (GVA). According to its tracker, there have been 202 incidents in which four or more people, other than the attacker, were shot this year alone. The U.S. crossed the 200-mass shooting threshold mid-May last year and the year prior, and didn’t get there until mid-to-late June in 2020 and 2019. Between 2016 and 2018, the country passed 200 mass shootings in late July.

In South Africa, about 150 km west of port Maputo, Mozambique, a giant stone city has been discovered. It became possible to determine the age of the site by measuring the erosion rate of the dolerite. The 1500 square kilometre metropolis was believed to have been built between 160,000 and 200,000 years ago!

Residue on 7,200 year old pottery found in Croatia has pushed back the dawn of cheese making in the Mediterranean. The find resets the timeline of agriculture in the region, with fermented dairy products being made a mere five centuries after milk was first stored. But its innovation was more than just a culinary milestone for dairy connoisseurs – it could have been a life saver. … Archaeological data shows people have been growing crops and raising livestock in the region for roughly 8,000 years. Impressed Ware, named for the simple shell-like impressions used to decorate the clay. They form...

Attorney General Eric Holder says he has one regret: his department's court order for Fox News reporter James Rosen's emails labeling him a criminal "co-conspirator." The outgoing attorney general, who recently announced his retirement, addressed the controversial episode during the "Washington Ideas Forum" on Wednesday. Asked what decision he wishes he could do over, Holder said: "I think about the subpoena to the Fox reporter, Rosen." Holder was referring to a 2010 search warrant application seeking Rosen's emails. The Justice Department at the time was investigating who leaked information contained in a series of reports by Rosen in 2009 about...

Israel on Wednesday made public for the first time some 200,000 pages of documents related to the fate of the 1950s missing Yemenite children, something Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said was meant to “correct the historical injustice” of hiding the fate of the children. “It is difficult to believe that for almost 70 years, people did not know what happened to their children,” Netanyahu said. “And as difficult as the reality may be, we are not willing for this to continue.” Netanyahu's comments came at a ceremony in the Prime Minister's Office where a website was launched with the documentation...

“You can’t keep going the way you been going,” Lynn Childers (Michelle Monaghan) says to her husband Sam (Gerard Butler) early on in the new film, “Machine Gun Preacher.” The movie tells the true story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealer, who turned his life around and began following Christ. Directed by Marc Forster, who previously helmed “The Kite Runner” and “Monster’s Ball,” “Preacher” presents Childers as a complex man whose intentions are noble but whose actions are often controversial. The story begins in South Sudan in 2003 as a child is faced with a nightmarish dilemma. A group of...

An exhaustive study by three congressional committees delivers startling news about the dire effects of Obamacare: President Barack Obama’s signature legislation could increase health insurance premiums by over 200 percent and render insurance coverage unaffordable for millions of Americans. Broadly, the new report declares that Obamacare “breaks its core promise” to make healthcare coverage affordable. The report, “The Price of Obamacare’s Broken Promises,” was prepared by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Majority Staff; Senate Committee on Finance, Minority Staff; and Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Minority Staff. “Studies and analyses from the Congressional Budget Office,...

All of this talk about taxing people who make 200k or 250k or more. What a joke. With the excessive printing of money, almost everyone in this country who has a job will make 200,000 thousand dollars or more. And, milk will be $12 a gallon, etc., ad nauseum. However, everyone will still fall under taxation rules when that happens. You're making more money, but everything rises in price to meet your income and now you're paying more in taxes. How can people be so foolish to vote these insane policies into effect? What about rental property? The next step...

Dear MoveOn member, All it takes is one Democrat on the supercommittee caving and Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security could be gutted, and there is a very real chance of that happening right now. If one Democrat out of six total on the supercommittee goes along with the Republican's plan for massive cuts to crucial programs, it passes. Then their proposal gets fast-tracked through Congress, without amendments, filibusters, or other good ways to stop it. That's why we have no choice; we have to pull out all the stops over the next six days to stop a bad deal and...

Obama sets record as most traveled president, costing taxpayers about $200k/hour. In addition to previous Obama milestones—such as losing the House with the biggest loss of seats in almost 70 years and presiding over an economy that has only increased its unemployment rate—you can now add another infamous record. This time, it has to do with Obama’s lack of being in the country enough as the sitting president. Specifically, it relates to Obama jetting around the globe on your taxpayer dime in a very immodest fashion that has already put him on top as the most traveled president in US...

Oil's historic ascent from $100 to nearly $150 a barrel in just six months is lending weight to a far grimmer prediction: Crude could reach $200 a barrel by the end of the year. Oil at that price would wreak deeper havoc on the world's airlines and automobile industries. In the U.S., $200 crude would push the price of gasoline to well over $6 a gallon, causing commuters to alter their driving habits more sharply than they have already, while putting extreme strains on large sectors of the U.S. economy. In Europe, it would stir more political unrest and increase...

Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Tom Glavine made good in his second run at history on Sunday, notching his 300th career victory in the Mets' 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs at historic Wrigley Field. Glavine (10-6) was charged with two runs on six hits with one walk and one strikeout over 6 1/3 innings, becoming just the 23rd pitcher in major league history to reach the illustrious plateau. He was given a standing ovation by the capacity crowd as he walked off the field in the sixth, and again when he departed for the final time in the...

WASHINGTON, May 14 (Xinhua) -- A cruise ship ran aground off the coast of the U.S. state of Alaska early Monday, and over 200 passengers and crew members are being evacuated, U.S. TV networks reported. The accident took place off Alaska's eastern peninsula near Juneau, CNN quoted Coast Guard officials as saying. The Coast Guard has sent a cutter and a helicopter to the scene, and has asked all boats nearby to help evacuate the 281 passengers and crew, Fox News reported. Dozens of people have been rescued from the 110-meter-long Empress of the North, the report said. The ship,...

Before Friday, I did not know that my ancestors owned slaves. Now that I know, I almost wish I didn't. As they say, ignorance is bliss. I don't have that luxury anymore. Now I'll have to deal with it. For years, you see, my mom had tried to get me to take an interest in our family history. She's compiled quite a bit of research and just wanted me to help get it organized and maybe take it to the next level before she's unable. But for some reason, I never could get interested. When you have a name like...
