Hugh spent much of yesterday on FR and gave us kudos for the great coverage. I got through to talk to Joseph Timothy Cook (I think a former Navy fighter pilot) to discuss the statements of Putin. He had not heard them but after I read them to him, he agreed with my assessment that they are significant. If anyone missed it, Putin called for a coordinated international effort to stop terrorism. BERLIN, Sept 12 (AFP) - German, British, French and Israeli secret services have linked the US terrorist attacks to Saudi-born extremist Osama bin Laden, a spokesman for German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said Wednesday. I know how a lot of Freepers feel about gun control and gun ownership. I personally feel that (like many foreign airlines) these incidents may have been avoided if a gun was available in a cockpit. I don't want to hear the lame argument about "what if a pilot wants to kill himself or others with it" Duh... Obviously, his plane is enough to accomplish that. BERLIN -- Germany's Foreign Ministry was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat.
