Hugh spent much of yesterday on FR and gave us kudos for the great coverage.

I got through to talk to Joseph Timothy Cook (I think a former Navy fighter pilot) to discuss the statements of Putin. He had not heard them but after I read them to him, he agreed with my assessment that they are significant. If anyone missed it, Putin called for a coordinated international effort to stop terrorism. If we need to strike, I mean, when we strike Afghanistan, his assistance could be helpful.

Just to let you know.... alot of us in upstate NY are heading down to the city to help. Many firefighters, police officers and funeral directors from my relatively small city are volunteering in the first wave. If they need human muscle in the next few days, many will follow.

The Russians have no love for radical moslems. Neither do the Chinese, nor the Indians. When we are certain that we know who to repay, we should welcome the Russian, Indian and Chinese assistance, if needed.

Good people (CIA) were prohibited by law from dealing with evil people. We could not infiltrate the terrorist cells because we had no human intelligence. America can use assistance from China and Russia and India; they are not prohibited by law and may have human intelligence that we could use to plan an attack on these terrorists. Remember the old saying -
the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Time will tell. I will not embrace people as friends whose sole purpose is to enslave us. This is a situation for them to pretend to be our allies. Even yasser arafat is supposed to have offered blood for the victims, for goodness sake. All I'm saying is that we can accept their help, but, we should be very careful that they don't stab us in the back. They play by different rules, relee and we have to always be cognizant of that. Bump for Hugh. Today is Constitution Day. i hope and pray the American people will NOT cede the rights and freedoms enumerated in our Constitution, in particular the Bill of Rights. This would be a disservce to those who have died to preserve the principles of this great nation.
