If this is the beginning of more violence, the perpetrators (i.e. Bin Laden/Taliban) must be eliminated immediately. That is the only way to stop further bloodshed.

I saw warbirds up over my home in Bethpage NY, about 26 miles East of Ground Zero. Two fighters heading Northeast at a good clip about 30 minutes ago. I'm not a plane expert so I don't know what type.

I am right outside Philadelphia. I was up this morning at 4:30AM EST and went outside for a smoke. I looked up an saw a plane flying over going East. No other planes around it. It looked like a big plane (not a jet fighter) moving slowly. Blinking white light on the bottom of the plane. Probably military, I guess, but to say I was surprised to see it would be a huge understatement.

There have apparently been some threats called into some oil companies that indicate it was "east coast on Tuesday, west coast on Wednesday." Can't find confirmation....

Paula Zahn on CNN a minute or so ago said there was a military jet that flew over 5th ave as she was reporting from a rooftop. More speculation to come I guess.....

Have heard military planes around Pittsburgh all day yesterday and this am.

I heard them talking on the radio here in Orlando about this and they were speculating about the possible USA targets being either Seatle or Denver. They said Seatle was because of the World Trade implications and the desire to cause damage to the world's (Western) financial systems.

Very odd. This is in the same catagory as the fifth airliner that fox news reported was circling the capitol building yesterday.

I saw a (Fox?) report earlier that there are AWACS patrolling this morning as well as fighters. And another type of aircraft I didn't catch.
