een from Earth, the Moon looks so bright and peaceful. But on closer inspection, the lunar surface is etched with crinkles that also happen to be active faults—whose appearance and behavior may be more unexpected than scientists thought. In a study published yesterday in The Planetary Science Journal, scientists report the identification of more than 10,000 young faults across the lunar surface. The team referenced images from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC), specifically its images of ridges and long, curvy structures called lobate scarps. These features form as a result of a celestial body’s contraction, in this case the...

A pastor at a Baptist church in Texas allowed children to smash statues of angels and the Blessed Virgin Mary on stage as a reward during a “Bible drills” exercise. After a recent service at Stedfast Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas, pastor Jonathan Shelley posted videos from his @bannedpastor X account on October 12-13 showing the children smashing “Catholic Mary Statues” and “Catholic Idols,” justifying his anti-Catholic actions as defending the Second Commandment. He had preached a sermon on the topic of the Second Commandment and idol worship. The Catechism of the Catholic Church instructs the faithful that the...

In Access Independent Health Services v. Wrigley, abortion providers and physicians challenged North Dakota’s abortion law. They argued that the North Dakota Constitution protects a right to abortion and that the law’s exceptions were too unclear for doctors to know when they could legally provide an abortion. The district court agreed with the challengers and struck down the law. The state appealed, bringing the case to the North Dakota Supreme Court. Justice Jerod Tufte played a central role in the Supreme Court’s decision. In an extensive opinion joined by Chief Justice Jon Jensen, he rejected the argument that the state...

A stunning new poll has revealed that American young people are expressing positive views toward Sharia law at higher rates than ever as the midterm elections approach in three weeks. Experts say much of the support can be attributed to the lack of balanced formation being provided by American universities and fear of being labeled racist, leading to young people being ill-informed about the oppression inherent in Islamic legal code.Earlier this month, Rasmussen Reports published the results of a survey that found a full 43% of voters aged 18-24 saying they have positive views of Sharia law. Strikingly, the poll...

America may be growing more secular, but it has hardly stopped believing in the supernatural. Millions of Americans still believe in God, heaven, hell, angels, demons, spiritual attacks and divine intervention. They believe there is something beyond the physical world, something that science cannot fully explain and human eyes cannot see. Yet when it comes to the supernatural events at the very heart of Christianity, that confidence begins to crumble. According to new research from the American Bible Society's 2026 State of the Bible report, fewer than half of Americans now believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin...

Sadly, and very stupidly, John Cornyn, and his Liddle’ Buddy, Super RINO, Karl Rove, are doing everything possible to make it hard for Ken Paxton, the Greatest Attorney General in the History of Texas, and one of the Best in the United States, to win the upcoming Midterm Election against a Radical Left Lunatic, James TalaFREAKO, who is the ANTITHESIS of Texas Values. John Cornyn who, after my Endorsement, lost the Primary to Ken by a very wide margin, and Karl Rove, who shouldn’t be allowed to spew his jealousy on FoxNews, should be ashamed of themselves. They are hurting...

A transgender 19-year-old alleged neo-Nazi accused of plotting a racist mass shooting at a Hindu temple outside Chicago will get his hormone injections in jail while he awaits trial, a judge ruled. A Cook County judge ordered Alexandros Paporakis held without bail Wednesday — but added a healthcare order, noting that the accused would-be terrorist takes hormone injections for gender transition, among other drugs, NBC Chicago reported. In addition to his transition injections, Paporakis is being treated for ADHD, depression, and anxiety, the judge revealed. Paporakis, a Taco Bell cashier from Palatine, was arrested Sunday after cops learned of an...

The Supreme Court on Wednesday seemed likely to let a lawsuit brought by a Tennessee man alleging that a website owned by entertainment giant Paramount Global violated a 1988 video privacy law when it shared information with Facebook go forward, at least for now. After nearly 90 minutes of oral argument in Salazar v. Paramount Global, the justices appeared poised to agree with Michael Salazar that the law, the Video Privacy Protection Act, applies to any consumer of the products sold by a company that provides videos. Although some members of the court expressed concerns about the possibility that allowing...

President Donald Trump announced that the planned firing squad execution of convicted Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will not be livestreamed, reversing an earlier Pentagon announcement that the public would be able to watch the convicted mass killer's final moments. Trump said in a Truth Social post that broadcasting the execution could serve as a powerful deterrent to terrorism but acknowledged that many Americans would rather not witness Hasan's death. "He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed," Trump wrote. Hasan’s execution is scheduled for Dec. 3. Trump said immediate family members of...

Multiple mass protests dubbed "No Kings Day" have taken place nationwide since President Donald Trump returned to office in 2025, with the event name serving as an ode to their argument that Trump has increasingly turned toward authoritarianism and that democracy is under attack....

The OpenAI engineer who was fired after being charged this week with bugging a conference room at the AI giant was nabbed by the FBI only three days before his one-way flight to Saudi Arabia was set to take off, according to court papers. Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35 year-old Saudi national, said he helped advise Saudi Arabia government agencies on technology and gushed in a recent podcast interview about meeting Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, then the deputy crown prince, during the prince’s 2016 visit to Silicon Valley.
