The Trump administration is suing the University of Delaware over a tuition policy that allows certain illegal immigrants to pay lower in-state rates while American students from outside Delaware are charged thousands more. The Justice Department argues the policy illegally gives undocumented students a financial benefit based on residency that is not offered on the same terms to U.S. citizens, making Delaware the latest target in the administration’s nationwide crackdown on immigration-related tuition benefits. The DOJ alleges the University of Delaware charges Delaware residents approximately $15,740 per academic year, compared with approximately $42,470 for non-Delaware residents, coming to a $26,730...

Debra Messing has had enough with the state of New York. The "Will & Grace" actress snubbed Democratic incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul and instead threw her support behind Republican Bruce Blakeman in the New York governor’s race. The endorsement marked a striking political shift for Messing, who has campaigned for Democratic candidates in the past. She previously backed Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Cynthia Nixon's 2018 bid for New York governor. Messing has also publicly clashed with President Donald Trump, a supporter of Blakeman. Her past political allegiances appeared to take a back seat as Messing enthusiastically praised Blakeman’s campaign...

Police warned of escalating tensions between canvassers and protesters over the weekend in the nominally safe Labour seat of Holborn and St Pancras, where a by-election will be held on October 8. Labour and Green campaigners were gathered outside the Al Rahman Mosque in a housing estate in the Camden area on Friday. But as the Labour campaigners prepared to walk into the estate, they were...

The United States wants a reactor on the moon by 2030. A Russian-Chinese alliance is working on one for 2036. Some leading scientists say the danger is great. In late August, NASA asked contractors to prepare to build a nuclear reactor that could survive a space voyage and run without maintenance near the moon’s south pole. That may sound like science fiction, but the agency wants it ready to be launched by December 2030.There is a reason for the rush. Russia aims to have a lunar reactor running by 2036 as part of a secretive partnership with China. NASA has already...

A former music pastor in Ohio who appeared briefly on “American Idol” was set to be sentenced Monday after a jury convicted him of murdering his wife while he was having an affair. With tears rolling down his cheeks, Flynn addressed the courtroom ahead of the sentencing and apologized to his family, starting with his two daughters. “I made vows to Ashley on our wedding day. I failed in those vows,”...

But what happens to all the stuff left behind — including the land, chemicals and agricultural equipment? “What’s going on in, around the state of Oklahoma, is...

Emanuel: Having one conversation about one country means you are politicizing a term that has huge and historic moral obligations. I have no problem having that conversation. But the fact that a questioner ignores Sudan that’s happening today, ignores Ukraine that is happening today tells me more about the question and the questioner than it does tells you — than the answer will reveal. _ The whole exchange was a set up to get “Rahmbo” to at least appear to fall in line with El-Sayed. Welker first sets this up with the question of whether Gaza is a genocide, which...
