Former President Bill Clinton is cashing in on his 80th birthday. The 42nd President spent his birthday weekend at the estate of Alex Soros and Huma Abedin. The party was just one of the many 80th celebrations for the birthday boy, whose actual birthday is August 19. “They’re having birthday parties and events all over the country as a fundraising vehicle,” said one Democrat insider, Page Six reported on Wednesday. The event was described as an intimate gathering that took place at the Hamptons home of Soros, the son of billionaire far-left Democrat megadonor George Soros. The Soros family has...

A Girl for LuigiI guess the Lindsay Clancy trial has put an end to that whole thing about a woman being president. Clancy has become a feminist hero for slaughtering her three children, whose names, in case anyone cares, were Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. For that brave response to “postpartum depression,” she’s attracted hundreds of female admirers, who stand petulantly outside the courthouse in pink T-shirts, demanding her acquittal. When Muslims pull this crap, blaming their gang rapes on the trauma of being asylum seekers, we’re not as understanding. But when women claim mental anguish from...

SSPX Barred from Marian Shrines While Interfaith and LGBTQ Events Are Welcomed In the last two weeks, the SSPX has been barred from two of Europe’s most famous Marian shrines: Lourdes and Mariazell. But interfaith prayer and LGBTQ-themed events have been welcomed... Who or what exactly is being protected here? The Irony of The Vatican’s Logic of Exclusion: When Those Who Defend the Blessed Virgin Mary Are Barred from Her Shrines There is a bitter irony unfurling in the Catholic Church in 2026, one that explicitly exposes the contradictions at the crux of its present institutional crisis. Within the span of...

In the heart of Lower Manhattan, a 60-story glass skyscraper has been sitting abandoned and unfinished for years. It overlooks the East River. It leans three inches to the north. Glass panels have fallen off its facade. And nobody — not the developer, not the lenders, not the courts — can agree on how to fix it. This is 161 Maiden Lane. New York City's very own Leaning Tower. A $600M luxury skyscraper that was supposed to sell 80 waterfront condos for up to $18 million each. Instead, it became one of the most expensive construction disasters in American history...

The onetime city manager of a wealthy San Francisco suburb has resigned from her role less than two months after she was arrested following a bizarre incident aboard a yacht at the city’s marina. Ex-Sausalito city manager Elaine Forbes, 53, remains in treatment and her condition is improving, family spokesperson Sam Singer told The California Post on Wednesday. “Resigning was important so she could focus on her mental wellbeing,” Singer said. Forbes’ departure brings an abrupt end to her short tenure running the Marin County city. She was arrested in July after authorities said she boarded multiple vessels at Sausalito...

A Coast Guard plane carrying Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin made an emergency landing in Virginia on Wednesday. The maneuver happened after an engine reportedly failed. Mullin confirmed the landing in a statement on social media. "The United States Coast Guard pilots made the single engine landing feel routine," Mullin wrote. "No panic, just straight professionalism. After we landed, the pilots told me that was a first for them! We could not have been in better hands." The plane reportedly landed at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. According to the post that Mullin responded to on social...

JOHNSTON COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - The Mansville city manager was arrested on felony voter registration fraud charges Monday afternoon. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office stated that Shonda Barnes was arrested at her home on a warrant charging her with 11 counts of false affidavit in voter registration. The arrest stemmed from an investigation that started in May after the Johnston County Election Board told the sheriff’s office about concerns over voter registration applications submitted from the Mannsville area. The registrations were submitted before the May voter registration deadline for the June primary election. The sheriff’s office said investigators found several...

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville has issued a simple piece of advice to Democratic candidates ahead of the 2026 midterms: Make it all about Donald Trump. MS NOW’s Ari Melber on Tuesday asked Carville what he thought of the argument that Democrats “still need the affirmative message of why this is not just anti-Trump, but [to] turn the page to helping people’s lives.” Carville responded bluntly: “Why do they need to be for anything?” “People are going to vote on Trump,” he said, noting that the president reportedly has a $400 million campaign war chest and will participate next week...

In 2020, Congress passed a law allowing the Treasury Department to mint special $1 coins for the 250th anniversary. That law states that images of living people can not be shown on the reverse side of the coin but allows for the front to showcase Trump's face. Donald Trump's brand-new gold-colored $1 coin sparked chaos at the US Mint as a record rush of buyers overwhelmed its website and left customers stuck in massive virtual queues. The Treasury Department made the coin available on Wednesday as part of the nation's 250th anniversary celebration. A portrait of Trump's face is featured...

Trump's unpredictability has been previously cited as a key reason as to why the Netherlands should remove their gold from the US. The director of Goudwisselkantoor – a Dutch auction house that specialises in auctioning gold, jewellery, diamonds, silverware, coins and banknotes – said in January that Trump could 'refuse to extradite [the gold reserves], impose additional tariffs, or delay the repayment for decades'.

From Dante’s Inferno to Erasmus’s In Praise of Folly: Papal Magisterium in Support of Satire and Invective Against Popes We thank Fr. Romano Tommasi, the pen name of a theologian, for this guest article.Writers on this site often inveigh against hyper-papalism or ultramontanism, evaluated as vices. Pre- and post-Vatican II popes agree in principle and have even taught it magisterially in a way unfortunately overlooked.Like a journal editor who tears to shreds a scholar’s blood, sweat, and tears, the taskmaster’s list of errata and objections to unsubstantiated, innovative arguments can move a scholar toward self-reflection on his method and call...

Watch the trains. Stay for dinner. That is the whole idea, and it is not open yet. I organized an Indiana company—Dave’s Depot & Diner LLC—so the name would be clean. There is no land under contract, no steel in the air, and no one should read this as a grand opening. What follows is the purpose and the goal, stated so a stranger can decide whether the thing is serious. I have spent a long time beside railroad tracks with something to eat. The train fills the world and then the quiet comes back. In South Bend there is...

U.S. — New poll numbers released this week showed Lindsay Clancy surging into the frontrunner position in the race to become the 2028 Democratic presidential nominee. Clancy garnered overwhelming support from Democratic women and continued to make gains among men who hate children and wish they were dead. "Clancy 2028! Wooo!" shouted supporters outside the courthouse where Clancy was awaiting the verdict on her triple homicide case. "No one gets us better than Lindsay. Who better to fight for women's rights than a woman who stared down the system that wanted to punish her for murdering three children? She...

So, maybe the Salem Witch Trials aren’t so bad. I will say that this video made the case that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote – I’m half-kidding. But I saw a tweet that pretty much said you can see why most religions and early social institutions of mankind kept a thumb on women, because these takes on the Lindsay Clancy case are insane. In less than a minute, you see a window into the modern American woman, and it’s a wasteland. This woman killed her kids, and we have to talk about how she’s sleep-deprived, how she’s paid enough...

Interesting video. Trump's list seems to be based on a list published in Life magazine in 1948. He simply added himself, Biden, Clinton, Obama and Carter. Original list at 4:18. This explains the missing presidents in his list.

The whistleblower in Attorney General Letitia James’ office who said he was ordered to dig up dirt on President Trump met with federal prosecutors for “several hours” Tuesday, sources said. Daniel Wiesenfeld, a former Brooklyn prosecutor and a lawyer in James’ office, had a lengthy sit-down with both criminal and civil attorneys from the FBI and the US Department of Justice over his bombshell claims, the sources told The Post. The extent of the feds’ interest in the case is unclear. Wiesenfeld, who has been placed on paid administrative leave, claimed in a since-deleted Friday email to colleagues that was...

On Tuesday, the Florida GOP met for a leadership forum that included Gov. Ron DeSantis and top-of-the-ticket candidates like Rep. Byron Donalds (FL-19), the gubernatorial nominee, and current Attorney General James Uthmeier, who is seeking a full term after being appointed in early 2025 by DeSantis to replace then-AG Ashley Moody, who was DeSantis' pick to succeed then-Sen. Marco Rubio after he was nominated as Trump's Secretary of State.
