Your local Kroger may be in danger of closing. A new report has revealed 39 Kroger supermarket stores some of which are identified under a different banner have closed its doors. The closings won’t end there though. Dozens more are set to close its doors by the end of 2026. Fox Business was the first to break the story and provided insight on what led Kroger to make the tough call: Kroger has closed at least three dozen stores since announcing plans last year to shutter 60 locations that were not “delivering sustainable results” by the end of 2026. The...

President Trump was right to highlight the Communist threat to our American way of life. During his address at Mount Rushmore, on the eve of our nation’s 250th anniversary, President Donald Trump warned Americans of a “resurgence of the Communist threat is now present in our country—including among newcomers who adopt ideologies that are fundamentally contrary to our way of life.” In this, the President rehashed the talk he gave at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference this past June, referring to the self-identified Socialist Democrats who won primary elections as “godless communists.” “These are not social democrats. These are...

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said Monday that he considers some “extreme” members of the Republican Party “fascist,” speaking at a Tulsa candidate forum his runoff opponent skipped. Drummond, who faces former state Sen. Mike Mazzei in the Aug. 25 Republican gubernatorial runoff, made the remark at an Aug. 11 forum at the University of Tulsa’s Lorton Performance Center, where he fielded questions from Tulsa Press Club members, according to KJRH. Mazzei did not attend. The attorney general framed the comment as part of his disagreements with other Republicans. “I aspire to be the governor of all. That sometimes draws...

Daily Readings from the USCCBPeter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18:21–22In the Book of the Prophet Amos, a poetic formula is repeated: “For three crimes of Damascus, and now four—I will not take it back…” (cf. Amos 1). By the time of Jesus, rabbinic tradition had adopted the interpretation of this passage to mean that God forgives three times, but not four and, therefore, so should we: “When a...

The federal government is refusing to turn over records related to an investigation conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement into allegations of immigration fraud by Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., citing a legal exemption for ongoing investigations. Just the News filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the records in January, seeking the records pertaining to any investigations conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement into the allegations that Rep. Omar, who represents Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, married a relative in order to help him remain in the country. Omar has denied the allegations. No court records, DNA evidence, or...

For most of American history, charging someone 20% interest on a loan was illegal. Every state had usury laws capping rates at 6%, 8%, sometimes 10%. These protections dated back thousands of years — from the Code of Hammurabi to colonial America. Then in 1978, one Supreme Court ruling quietly changed everything. The case was Marquette National Bank v. First of Omaha Service Corporation, and almost nobody noticed when it was decided. But it opened a legal loophole that allowed banks to "export" interest rates from their home state to customers nationwide. What followed was a chain reaction: a desperate...

The two most senior members of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, flew out of last month’s NATO summit in Turkey on what was effectively a decoy plane following an Iranian threat, while Trump was secretly moved to a smaller military jet, a senior U.S. official said Wednesday. The official, who was briefed on the situation and spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive details of presidential travel, said Rubio was aware of the switch and details of the threat behind it but could or would not say why he had...

WASHINGTON — The feds nabbed 11 suspects accused of operating a decade-long, multimillion-dollar marriage fraud scheme that resulted in around 1,000 sham weddings between primarily Chinese nationals and US citizens for the purpose of getting the Asians green cards. The “cottage industry” uncovered Wednesday charged foreign nationals up to $100,000 for each fake union, including submitting fraudulent applications to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of those seeking lawful permanent residency. The sham wedding ring used advertisements on social media platforms, held phony marraige ceremonies and even had both parties to the fake unions sign bizarre pre-nuptial agreements,...

Fox News anchor Bret Baier undercut President Donald Trump’s baseless claim that the U.S. “totally” controls the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway through which 20% of the world’s oil flows. On Tuesday, Trump spoke with reporters and addressed the strait, which Iran effectively closed after the U.S. and Israel launched the current war on the country in February. But somehow, the president insisted the U.S. has it all under control. “We totally control the Strait of Hormuz,” he said, reality be damned. “We have control over it. Nobody else. Only us. Our navy is unbelievable, and things are going...

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman told Democrats to get over it after party leaders filed a complaint against him for a series of AI campaign ads. Blakeman said he’d continue to use artificial intelligence ads despite a complaint to the Board of Elections from state Democratic Party chairman Jay Jacobs that accused the GOP candidate of violating state law by not disclosing the use of the tech in some of the ads. “Everybody knows it’s AI, and it’s funny — so what’s your problem? Get a life,” Blakeman, who is currently serving as Nassau County executive, said during a campaign...

A court has denied a former Rusk County deputy’s appeal after a district court denied his request for qualified immunity. Timothy Michael Randall, 29, of Price, was shot and killed by Sgt. Shane Iverson of the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop on Sept. 14, 2022, in Turnertown. Iverson was later no-billed by a Rusk County grand jury, meaning the grand jury chose not to indict him. Rusk County attorney Lee Correa filed the motion for summary judgment on the issue of qualified immunity in 2024. Qualified immunity protects government officials from liability for civil damages as long...
