James Carville has been a Democrat activist for his entire adult life. He is now threatening to leave the party if Hasan Piker is a force in the party. He has already suggested he’d leave over any of the communists. He sounds like Bill Maher, who doesn’t want to be in a communist party. “I am NOT going to be in the same party as Hasan Piker! I can tell you that right now!” Carville said during an interview on Fox. “If he becomes a force within the Democratic Party, I’m out of here! I have no intention of ever...

In November, the suburbs of New York City will be the pivotal arena for whether the Democratic Socialists of America cement their takeover of the entire state from their New York City stronghold. The decisive issue is not crime, deteriorating quality of life, or high taxes, but one that is arousing significant suburban anxiety: the DSA’s vendetta against the American Dream of homeownership. Residents of Westchester and Nassau counties, which abut the northern Bronx and eastern Queens, and of whom 80% own their homes, are watching with increasing unease Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s mounting attacks on the city’s homeowners, and logically...

The medication is used to treat hypothyroidism and goiter, among other conditions, according to the Mayo Clinic. The recall was designated a Class II on July 17, meaning the tablets may cause temporary adverse health consequences, the FDA said. Major Pharmaceuticals packaged and distributed the recalled medication nationwide, and Cardinal Health also distributed some of it. The recalled tablets were packaged...

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) has reached a deal with the Justice Department to end the $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund for President Trump’s allies, paving the way for Cornyn to vote to advance Todd Blanche’s nomination to serve as attorney general. The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on Blanche’s nomination on Tuesday and Cornyn and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), two members of the panel, were threatening to vote “no” because the administration wouldn’t agree to clarify a settlement with Trump to permanently end the proposed $1.8 billion fund. “Sen. Cornyn has reached an agreement with the Department of Justice,...

Japan and the US have confirmed that they jointly intervened last week to halt a slide in the yen after it fell to a fresh 40-year low. The joint intervention is the first since 2011, when both countries took coordinated action to weaken the yen after the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit eastern Japan. Both Japan's Ministry of Finance and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent have said that they will not hesitate to conduct more joint interventions in the future. It highlights both countries' efforts to prevent a sell-off in the yen and Japanese government bonds from having an...

In 2025, Rep. Maxine Dexter gave a speech comparing Israel’s campaign against Hamas terrorists to the Holocaust, falsely calling it “ethnic cleansing” and “genocide”. “After the Holocaust, the international community made a commitment that such evil can never happen again to any people, anywhere. Never again, they said. That is why I recently signed on to a resolution recognizing Israel’s actions in Gaza led by the Netanyahu government as a genocide,” Rep. Dexter said in her speech, backing Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s pro-terrorist resolution “Recognizing the Genocide of the Palestinian People in Gaza.” The director of the United States Holocaust Memorial...

Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong hosted left-wing commentator Hasan Piker at a campaign rally in Milwaukee on Sunday alongside Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). The current front-runner for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, Hong has leaned into populist messaging about the cost of living throughout her campaign and is backed by the Democratic Socialists of America. Hong strengthened her ties with the Democratic Party’s ascendant socialist wing by inviting Piker, an internet personality known for promoting an anti-Israel and anti-establishment platform, to speak at the event. Some attendees rose to deliver a standing ovation for Piker, who spoke about how Wisconsin...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone. Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. During the fourth watch of the night, he came toward them, walking on the sea. Matthew 14:22–25Only God, in His perfect Wisdom, could convey profound spiritual meaning through Jesus’ human actions. Though His miracles...

"I show you a still more excellent way" (1 Cor. 12:31). Biblical love is characterized by humility, obedience to God, and self-sacrifice. In our society, love is a common word but an uncommon experience. Often those who use the word most understand it least. Many who think they've found love have really settled for something far less than God intended for them. For many, love means a romantic or sexual relationship. While Scripture has much to say about intimacy within marriage, the word love takes on a different meaning in the New Testament. Even Ephesians 5:25 ("Husbands, love your wives")...

Abortion is one of the most contentious issues in American politics, and since the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion nationwide, the issue has been a top concern of activists on both sides in assessing both Supreme Court nominees and political candidates. The anti-abortion cause has been embraced by many religious Christian groups, including the Catholic church. Most American Jews strongly support legalized abortion: A 2015 Pew Research Forum survey found that 83 percent of American Jews, more than any other religious group, say abortion “should be legal in all/most cases.” However, Judaism’s position on abortion...

Abdul El-Sayed is entering the final weekend of Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary with a double-digit advantage over Representative Haley Stevens, according to a new poll that adds to signs of late momentum for the progressive candidate. El-Sayed leads Stevens 54.8 percent to 45.2 percent in The Public Sentiment Institute’s projected result for the August 4 Democratic primary. The poll suggests younger and more progressive Democrats are powering El-Sayed’s lead, while older voters remain Stevens’ best route to a closer result. Whoever wins is set to face Republican Mike Rogers, the presumptive Republican nominee, in one of the most competitive Senate...
