Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) has reached a deal with the Justice Department to end the $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund for President Trump’s allies, paving the way for Cornyn to vote to advance Todd Blanche’s nomination to serve as attorney general.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on Blanche’s nomination on Tuesday and Cornyn and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), two members of the panel, were threatening to vote “no” because the administration wouldn’t agree to clarify a settlement with Trump to permanently end the proposed $1.8 billion fund.
“Sen. Cornyn has reached an agreement with the Department of Justice, which will be issuing a formal order permanently terminating the anti-weaponization fund and making clear in a binding written document that the scope of the audit settlement is limited to only the plaintiffs, including the President, and the IRS,” said Cornyn spokesperson Natalie Yezbick

The upside is that Trump freed them all. Some sentences were like 18 years for a nothing “crime”.
RINOs lie just like Iranians.
Pretty obvious Coryn was in on the J6 set up, unless he repents, I suspect he has a spot reserved for him not far from Judas
Sorry Cormyn
I’m not sure that Cornyn accomplished any such thing. Trump does not need tp provide the funds. J6ers can sue the Government. Watch for an avenue to be created after Blance is confirmed.
RINOs are like Demonicrats - they’re all traitors to the United States of America.
He’s PURE EVIL.
Absolutely SHOULD NOT have agreed to any such deal. This is disgusting. Its vital that the Jan 6 political prisoners be compensated.
No justice for the J6ers doesn’t cost anyone anything. Nobody cares about them other than the libertarians who take offense.
as soon as he’s confirmed, President Trump should put out a post saying he was part of the Jan 6th stuff.
I’m skeptical of the headline and what the DOJ agreed to. As soon as Trump says he’ll bring the fund back if Blamch is not confirmed and wait for the 2 holdouts to leave there is capitulation by the DOJ? Sounds suspicious to me.
Interesting point. Hope it happens.
I hope you care.
Cornhole strikes again.
He is pure evil.
The worst kind, too. He sanctimoniously pretends to be good.
That prick Tillis called the January 6th patriots “punks.”
In January after those two “R” senators leave, DJT should insist DoJ open investigations of their contacts during their tenure. Include McConnell too. Vipers
The sooner Cornyn is gone, the better. But I think Trump misfired by calling this an “anti-weaponization fund.” That put a huge target on it. He could have done the same thing by allocating money quietly and calling it nothing and Cornyn wouldn’t have been the wiser.
