Jonathan Rinderknecht was arrested in October 2025 and charged with destruction of property by means of fire, and he pleaded not guilty after being charged in the Palisades Fire in January 2025. Ten of the California jurors thought Rinderknecht was not guilty, while two thought he was. John Bolton, a former national security adviser to Donald Trump, has pleaded guilty to mishandling classified security information as part of notes he compiled for a book. Bolton, now a prominent critic of the US president, was indicted on 18 counts related to improper handling of classified material, and initially pleaded not guilty. On Friday, he admitted to a single charge of illegal retention of classified information. The documents he retained included diary entries containing national defence information, some of it classified at the top secret level. Bolton faces a prison sentence of up to five years and has agreed...

California Gov. Gavin Newsom proposed a tax on America’s billionaires — while remaining in steadfast opposition to the very same levy on the wealthiest in his state. After California’s own billionaires tax was approved for the November ballot, Newsom announced Friday that he supports a national billionaires tax “that ensures the people at the very top pay at least the tax rate their own workers pay.” Newsom has long opposed the proposed California measure, which would hit the state’s wealthiest with a 5% tax to cover healthcare costs in the state. He failed to broker a last-minute deal to keep...

The explosive expansion of mail-in voting — turbocharged during COVID and conveniently never rolled back in many blue states — punched a massive hole in American election security. Conservatives raised the alarm for years. They were dismissed as paranoid. The media shrugged. Meanwhile, ballots kept flying through the postal system with zero meaningful verification that the person on the envelope was, you know, an actual eligible voter. But something just shifted. The federal government has stumbled onto a devastatingly simple enforcement mechanism, and the states with the dirtiest voter rolls are already lawyering up. Funny how that works. From The...

Aforce of 10,000 inspectors is being recruited to weed out foreigners: door-to-door across the nation, they will check mines, factories and shops, rounding up those without papers for deportation. Oh, and the target will be black people! Trump madness? Marine le Pen? No, this is South Africa and a project launched by President Cyril Ramaphosa to expel millions of black migrants from across the rest of Africa who have jumped the border or overstayed their visa. It’s Africa’s answer to ICE, though you won’t find many people protesting: quite the opposite. Government and the police are desperate to demonstrate they’re...

VIDEO AT LINK........... Last night, it became certain that a wealth tax would be placed on the November ballot in California. I’m voting no. And I’m going to spend the rest of this piece telling you why, and what we should be doing instead. When 10% of the people in this country own two-thirds of the wealth, when we have minted the first trillionaire in human history, and yet your wages have stagnated, and your healthcare costs have skyrocketed, something is fundamentally broken. Over the decades, the American economy has been engineered for the very top, a story as old...

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut) introduced legislation on Thursday to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $25 per hour through phased increases. The bill, titled the Living Wage for All Act, includes a companion measure in the House led by Rep. Delia C. Ramirez (D-Illinois). It aims to phase in the increase, starting with an initial jump to $12 per hour, reaching $25 over several years. Larger employers would face a shorter compliance timeline of about six years, while smaller businesses would receive up to 13 years. The proposal would also eliminate subminimum wages for tipped workers, youth employees,...

A hospital said some of its MRI scanners were "not operational" due to the current high level of heat and humidity. Scans at Bedford South Wing Hospital are being postponed as the MRI machines cannot be safely operated, Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said. A spokesperson added: "This is as a result of the older cooling systems at our aging site not being able to achieve the required temperature and humidity levels." The trust is contacting patients affected by the delays and said it would reschedule appointments as soon as "the situation stabilises". "Our scanners at the Bedford North Wing...

Border Czar Tom Homan has announced a major expansion of immigration enforcement resources, including the deployment of 10,000 new agents nationwide. Homan, speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to the Majority” conference in Washington, DC, on Friday, noted that the administration has already achieved a record, historic year of deportations. “We had a record, historic year with deportations… But now we’ve got 10,000 more agents on board. Wait until next year!” Homan said. Homan also addressed ongoing threats against him and his family from cartels and left-wing open borders activists. Never one to back down, Homan issued a...

Charlie Kirk's accused assassin, Tyler Robinson, can still face the potential death penalty if convicted of aggravated murder, a Utah judge ruled Friday. Judge Tony Graf Jr. found Deputy Utah County Attorney Christopher Ballard was in contempt of a court order for statements he made about his opinion on the strength of evidence in the case — but he was not wrong for making other statements in which he disputed a misleading characterization about specific ballistic evidence from a defense court filing. As a result, Graf denied Robinson's argument that the appropriate remedy would be to remove the potential death...

Edward T. Winslow@EdwardTWinz·12hlet me tell you what "the courts cannot stop it" means when SCOTUS says it.. because I'm sure most people don't know..it means the Ninth Circuit is done..for years the Ninth Circuit blocked every TPS termination.. every metering policy.. every turnback order.. judges in San Francisco and D.C. issued injunctions the same week DHS tried to enforce anything..that was the strategy.. not the law.. the injunctions..on June 25, 2026.. SCOTUS ruled 6-3 in two separate cases.. same day.. same margin.. both times..case one: federal courts generally cannot review TPS termination decisions.. Kristi Noem's calls are now shielded.. no...

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s campaign unleashed a series of stunts to counter program the Texas Democratic Convention on Friday. Abbott’s campaign went after Democrats and their “radical” policy agenda, featuring taco menus that mock their political track record and distributing “missing” milk cartoons depicting failed Democratic Senate candidate Jasmine Crockett. The spectacle will also feature a live bull draped in a sign that reads, “Don’t buy the bull.” The campaign is kicking things off with the “Talarico’s Tacos” truck serving real tacos with menu items like “open border brisket” and “veggie Talarico.” Attendees who order a “Democrat promises” taco...

A Polish doctor has been taken into custody after 34 human fetuses were found buried in the garden of her former home, the authorities said on Monday. Magdalena H. – a 57-year-old medical pathologist with no previous criminal record – is suspected of using the fetuses to perform experiments and now faces up to 12 years in prison. Her case has whipped up a storm in traditionally Catholic Poland, with many questioning how she managed to obtain the unborn babies’ bodies in a country with some of the strictest abortion laws in Europe. But a spokesman for the prosecutor’s office...

ransomnote: President Trump's TS post is a video featuring two of the times Kennedy addressed the question of communism in the US.I'm limited in how much of the video I can capture. The first part of the video includes a moderator asking Kennedy, in a debate setting, if we should be concerned about communism in the US. Kennedy replies that we should be very concerned, and the rest of his response is captured starting with the words, "We should support the laws which the United States has passed...."https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116814048560190114Donald J. As President Donald Trump moves this week to extricate himself from a conflict that a CBS News poll finds most Americans want ended now, the powerful donor-class networks that want endless war have rapidly moved to sabotage his efforts. It is no surprise which portions of the right have mounted an emergency campaign against Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s recent peace efforts. Israel Hayom—owned by the Trump mega-donor Miriam Adelson—published a blistering open letter accusing Trump of signing a “surrender agreement with a murderous and cruel terror regime.” The Wall Street Journal editorial board has been carping about the...
