KrisAnne Hall, LibertyAddict@RealKahallAmerica is about to celebrate 250 years of Independence. But most Americans were never taught what actually happened in 1776.They taught you to celebrate the fireworks. They never taught you the meaning of liberty.America’s REAL Independence Day was July 2nd, 1776, when Congress legally severed ties with the British Crown. The Declaration of Independence was the announcement. Not the act itself. As America approaches its 250th birthday, this isn’t just about correcting history. It’s about remembering:• Why America became a Constitutional Republic• Why rights come from God, not government• How we lost our understanding of liberty• And how we reclaim what generations sacrificed to...

Billionaire Mark Cuban stood on the White House stage Monday alongside the man he spent the last year trying to keep out of the Oval Office. The former "Shark Tank" star and outspoken Kamala Harris surrogate appeared beside President Donald Trump during the rollout of TrumpRx.gov, which is a new initiative aimed at lowering the cost of 600 generic prescription drugs. The program partners the Trump administration with major private-sector companies, including Amazon, GoodRx and Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs — officially making Trump and Cuban business partners after a history of heated political attacks. For much of the campaign...

Just before writing this piece, I saw Gary Oldman in a London production of Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape. For those unfamiliar, the play revolves around an old man listening to a series of tapes recorded by himself when he was younger, musing pompously on his hopes and dreams for the future. In his present, desiccated state, he can only scoff at his middle-aged self, before being overcome by the pathetic realization that it is all up for him and that he is doomed to a miserable, unhappy future. It is hard to think of ten people who will want...

Iowans will need to see a doctor in person to receive abortion medication under a new law Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed. The Tuesday, May 19, signing came as Republican-led states across the country aim to restrict access to abortion pills, usage of which has increased since the 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade. A recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling temporarily preserved access to mail-order prescriptions after Louisiana challenged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's expanded access. But the medication's future remains uncertain as the legal battle plays out. The bill, House File 2788, will require Iowans seeking abortion medication,...

A bitter GOP civil war is erupting in California’s governor race with Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco torching Republican rival Steve Hilton’s campaign as a “full-blown lie” and claiming he’s been “bought and paid for” by Democrats. In a blistering video message Tuesday, Bianco flatly demanded Hilton quit the race as the two Republicans battle to survive California’s jungle primary system and snag a spot in November’s general election. “Hey Steve, it’s Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, your next governor. Steve, it is time for you to drop out. Your campaign has already failed,” Bianco said. “It failed in January....

A 13-year-old seventh-grader at Drake Middle School in Colorado’s Jefferson County Public Schools was barred from reading her pro-life slam poem aloud in class along with other students. She was prevented even though staff acknowledged it met all assignment requirements, according to the student’s family. The assignment asked students to write and present slam poetry about a world conflict they felt passionate about. The girl chose the topic of abortion and prepared a poem that referenced biblical verses, Dr. Seuss literature and statistics on abortions since Roe v. Wade. School staff told the family the poem satisfied every rubric criterion...

A twisted Maryland “Teacher of the Year” was thrown behind bars for allegedly grooming a 15-year-old boy for weeks before trying to have sex with him, police said. Dennis Jutras, 61, was arrested Thursday at a local park while trying to meet up with the boy after sending explicit photos and disturbing messages to an undercover detective posing as a teen during an online sting targeting child predators, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. The sickening chats between the Baltimore City Public Schools administrator and the decoy allegedly went on for two weeks. Police said Jutras contacted the undercover...

Police say Grayson was berating the younger worker before the shift lead stepped in and asked Grayson to leave the store. Grayson is then alleged to have shoved the shift lead and struck her...

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) unveiled legislation Wednesday aiming to ban foreign-born US citizens from serving in Congress and other high levels of the federal government. The South Carolina congresswoman singled out Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Shri Thanedar (D-Ill.) and Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) in announcing her joint resolution to add an amendment to the US Constitution that would prohibit naturalized US citizens from becoming federal judges, holding Senate-confirmed positions or serving in the House or Senate. “All born in foreign countries, none were citizens by birth. All sitting in the United States Congress. All making clear every single day their loyalty...

The Lectern Guy@lecternleader·3hOn a serious note, I am writing up my complaint against the DOJ and submitting it this week. What they did to me will have a generational effect on my family and their livelihoods.I was mocked and called a thief by Jimmy Kimmel, John Krasinski, and Jim Carey. My face and the accusation of being a thief was shared globally... for years. It still persists today harming my chances to win my local election...

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) doesn’t think 100 is too old to serve in Congress, as we reported last week. Despite twice being duped by Russian comedians and regularly making little sense, the 87-year-old is hitting the campaign trial once again this year to seek a 19th term, which would have her serving 38 years in office. And she’s not alone, as other members of Congress are showing advanced signs of senility and, in some cases, dementia — but remain determined to stay the course. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) Florida Democrat Frederica Wilson, 83, has had a month-long, unexplained absence from...
