Gov. Tim Walz denounced the Trump administration’s latest threat to withhold federal funds from Minnesota as another step in a “retribution” campaign as he unveiled a package of legislation Thursday intended to fight fraud in public programs, a persistent problem that provided an impetus for the federal government’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota. The Democratic governor made the announcement a day after Vice President JD Vance said the administration would “temporarily halt” some Medicaid funding to Minnesota over fraud concerns, as part of what he described as an aggressive drive against the misuse of public funds. Walz’s proposals were in the...

Appearing Thursday on Morning Joe, MS NOW’s Ali Vitali conceded there are “valid questions” about Bill Clinton’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein — enough to justify a House Oversight deposition. But the only connection Vitali mentioned? “He appears in photos.”Left unmentioned was what ABC News has reported: Bill Clinton was listed on 26 Epstein flight legs — though some were segments of the same international trips. Still, 26 entries in the logs. Not one. Not “a couple.” Twenty-six. Morning Joe viewers would never have known it. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

It is becoming costly to watch the NFL, and the FCC is trying to ease the pain. The FCC on Wednesday announced it would seek public comment on the ongoing shift of live sports from broadcast channels to streaming services. The move comes as the NFL, NBA, MLB and other major sports have moved many games from broadcast and cable television to streaming services. The sports leagues have cashed in on the pivot to streaming, with the NFL landing $1 billion a year to air Thursday Night Football on Amazon as an example. The Sports Broadcasting Act exemption passed in...

Some members of an elite, super-secretive men’s club based in California wine country have allegedly been leaked — with names ranging from former late-night host Conan O’Brien and billionaire former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt. The membership list of Bohemian Grove — a private 2,700-acre campground in Sonoma County that hosts an annual two-week retreat and has a clubhouse in San Francisco — was allegedly obtained by an independent journalist and confirmed by a club member, according to the San Francisco Standard. The extensive list of more than 2,000 members in 2023 features the...

The Gorton & Denton constituency at the heart of the by-election battle encapsulates many concerns about the wider divides in Britain. Social and demographic data lays bare how the seat is sharply split on ethnicity, religion and deprivation lines. It was comfortably secured by Labour in 2024, as Keir Starmer secured his huge landslide nationally. But the government's plunging popularity has left the dynamics of the local area very much under the microscope. The constituency, south east of the city centre, has lagged significantly behind the rest of Manchester in terms of improvements in wealth. And a recent profile by...

"Cuban border guards did what they had to do in this situation," Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin, told reporters on Thursday morning, according to the Russian state news outlet RIA Novosti. In a statement on Wednesday night, the interior ministry said the 10 people aboard the speedboat were "Cuban residents of the United States," who were allegedly armed with weapons and "intended to carry out an infiltration for terrorist purposes." Those on board the U.S-registered speedboat, which had been reported stolen in Florida, allegedly opened fire on Cuban border guard troops as they approached the boat...

Pro-Palestinian activists, in collaboration with civil society organizations, have launched a campaign for a new maritime flotilla to the Gaza Strip. The flotilla is scheduled to depart on April 12 from several ports in Spain, Italy, and Tunisia, with the stated goal of breaking the blockade on the strip and delivering aid. Al-Arabi Al-Jadid reports that more than 200 vessels will participate in the flotilla, supported by the "Mavi Marmara" Freedom and Solidarity Association and the Turkish İHH Foundation, a humanitarian organization that focuses on protecting freedoms, human rights, and providing aid. Bülent Yıldırım, president of the İHH Foundation, told...

The people who want to indoctrinate your children in public schools and libraries would like you to know that the LGBT propaganda they want to lay on them isn’t appropriate for adult settings. During a hearing in the Minnesota Senate which ended up going viral for all the wrong reasons, a Democrat called a Republican member out for reading from a book he said was in the teen section and recommended for kids as young as 12. The reason? It wasn’t appropriate for state lawmakers, obviously. The viral footage was taken from a hearing of the Education Finance Committee of...

VIDEOLong story short. The current price of beef is high solely because of obvious ILLEGAL price fixing by the Big Four meat processors. The Trump justice department is currently investigating this especially in the wake of the recent exposé by James O'Keefe (link below). When the price of beef lowers by this summer, as I am sure it will, we all can thank President Trump and help the GOP in the midterm elections by recording and uploading videos of "AFFORDABLE Beef BBQs." The relief of consumers over the lower prices of beef can be best illustrated this way and definitely...

A North Carolina mother of three who vanished over two decades ago was found alive and living a new life — leaving her family reeling with questions over her whereabouts, according to authorities and reports. Michele Lyn Hundley Smith, then 38, disappeared in December 2001 after leaving her home in Eden to do Christmas shopping at a Kmart in Virginia, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. Smith’s “troubling” disappearance prompted multiple agencies across North Carolina and Virginia, including the FBI, to search for the mother of three for “countless” hours and pursue multiple investigative leads, cops said. A missing...

Just days after Senator John Thune said there was no time to debate and vote on the SAVE Act, it was revealed that senators held a dog parade inside the chamber, bringing their pets in for photos and celebration instead of moving forward on the election bill.I asked Grok "Is this true"... Yes, the claim in the post is largely true, though slightly misleading in its wording. On February 25, 2026, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) hosted a bipartisan event called the "Bipawtisan Doggi Gras Pawrade" (a Mardi Gras-themed dog parade) in the atrium of the Hart Senate Office Building in...

At least 10 FBI employees were fired after working on the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, according to a news report Friday. The firings occurred after news broke on Wednesday that the FBI obtained phone records for now-director Kash Patel during the Biden administration in 2022, and current White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles' phone records in 2023, while they were both private citizens.“It is outrageous and deeply alarming that the previous FBI leadership secretly subpoenaed my own phone records – along with those of now White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles – using flimsy pretexts and burying the entire...

"I wanna be clear about something: We will not profit from the White House event independently. We will not be making money on America's 250th anniversary," TKO president and COO Mark Shapiro said.As the UFC continues its planning for its blockbuster UFC bout at the White House in June, parent company TKO is warning investors that it is a one-time event that will likely cost it tens of millions of dollars … and that’s just fine. On TKO’s earnings call Wednesday, president and COO Mark Shapiro told Wall Street analysts that the White House event, currently slated for June...

Watching Florida Panther forward Matthew Tkachuk gush over U.S. president Donald Trump at the White House while donning the Commander-in-Chief’s signature red tie may have been a hint, but a new report gleaned from publicly available voter registration data finds that the NHL’s American players are among the most right-leaning in professional sports. Only one league, Major League Baseball, had a higher percentage of American players who were registered as Republican at 53.7 per cent compared to just 7.8 per cent Democratic and 36.4 Independent. The NHL came second at 43.9 per cent Republican, 5.6 per cent Democratic, and 48.6...

The FBI has fired additional agents who worked on cases involving President Trump, including several who worked on the Mar-a-Lago documents case. A source who confirmed the firings to The Hill said at least 10 agents were removed Wednesday. The dismissals are just the latest in a wave of firings of FBI and Justice Department personnel who worked on cases involving Trump. The FBI Agents Association blasted the move as weakening the bureau. “The FBIAA condemns today’s unlawful termination of FBI Special Agents, which—like other firings by Director Patel—violates the due process rights of those who risk their lives to...

Explanation: What does the universe look like through infrared goggles? Our eyes can only see visible light, but astronomers want to see more. Today’s APOD shows spiral galaxy IC 5332 as seen by two NASA telescopes: Webb in mid-infrared and Hubble in ultraviolet and visible light. To toggle between the two space-based views just slide your cursor over the image (or follow this link). The Hubble image highlights the spiral arms of the galaxy separated by dark regions, whereas the Webb image reveals a finer, more tangled structure. Interstellar dust scatters and absorbs light from the stars in the galaxy,...
