On November 14, 2025, the Arkansas Attorney General (AG), Tim Griffin, clarified Arkansas law about the legal carry of firearms. The three questions to be answered included: publicly owned buildings or facilities, the legal definition of an “athletic event” in Arkansas law, and what type of carry is prohibited in statutorily prohibited spaces. The questions were asked by the Honorable Sonia Eubanks Barker, a Republican state representative with a pro-Second Amendment reputation. AG opinions are not binding on judges. They are statements of what the Attorney General believes the law to be. They are often taken into account by prosecutors...

The police chief at Brown University has been placed on leave as the school examines its response to a mass shooting that left two students dead. University officials announced Monday that Rodney Chatman, the head of public safety at the school, was placed on leave effective immediately, and his day-to-day responsibilities were given to former Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements. The decision comes amid intense scrutiny over the school's security policies in the wake of the December 13 mass shooting, during which students Ella Cook and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov were tragically killed and nine others left with injuries.

PHOENIX—All eyes were on Gen Z this weekend as more than 10,000 students gathered at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where speakers and panels discussed the issues motivating Gen Z heading into a pivotal election year. After making impressive inroads with young voters in the 2024 presidential election, the conservative movement is vigorously debating how to address young voters’ concerns heading into the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election. From the main stage to The Daily Signal’s interviews with students in attendance, one issue rose above the rest: affordability. Affordability Is Everything “Probably the most important economic issue of our...

Birthright citizenship — the idea that anyone born in the United States is automatically a citizen, with full right to receive all benefits and vote when they come of age — has been a fixture of the administration of the laws in this country for my entire lifetime. But does the text of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution make the birthright citizenship rule apply to all cases, even the most extreme? Under the 14th Amendment, properly interpreted, do children born of illegal aliens subject to a deportation order really qualify for birthright citizenship? How about children born of an...

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(12/23/25)[Prayer]Countdown To ChristmasLuke 1:26-38The Birth of Jesus Foretold 26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” 29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not...

Notre Dame and BYU, the top two at-large teams left out of this year's College Football Playoff field, have agreed to a home-and-home series beginning next season, which marks a halt in the Fighting Irish's longtime annual series with rival USC for the foreseeable future. The 2026 game in Provo, Utah, is filling the final spot on Notre Dame's schedule, as the other 11 games have been announced. Notre Dame and USC have said they want to continue their cherished rivalry, which began in 1926. But USC has expressed concern about the timing of the game, wanting it to be...

The state of California, under the direction of woke Gov. Gavin Newsom, state Attorney General Rob Bonta, and the far-left legislature, passed a law in July 2024 — AB 1955 — which required teachers to affirm students’ gender identities but keep any changes secret from the parents. In other words, they demanded that teachers lie. Bad news for the gender extremists in the Golden State, of which there are many — U.S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez issued a summary judgment Monday, ruling that the law is unconstitutional. Finally, a 2024 story where a judge didn’t bend over backward for...

In the 1988 movie “Cocktail,” Tom Cruise’s character Brian Flanagan had the enduring quote that, “Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn’t end.” Well, Kansas City Chiefs fans who are actually in Missouri… that line appears to hold true today as it did all those years ago. At the tail end of what’s been a brutal year (the team lost superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL, and star tight end Travis Kelce officially appears to be losing the battle with Father Time) where the Chiefs will finish with a losing record, the team gave its local fans one last...

The woke mind virus is a terrible disease. VIDEO AT LINK.............. 🚨 SOMALI GIRL (Minnesota): "We shouldn't be illegal when this is literally stolen land."Unbelievable.Parents and leftist teachers are indoctrinating their youth into this ideology, and it won't end well.pic.twitter.com/DfMfsWxVEj— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) December 22, 2025The U.S. government didn't always hold up its end of the bargain when it was making treaties with native tribes that were constantly fighting each other and/or killing Americans, so that means Muslim tribes from East Africa can claim ownership to Minnesota? 🥴 I guess that explains the billions in welfare and tax fraud! I'll...

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your holiday sparkle season has been filled with the joy of parties, lights, overindulging, and maxing out your credit cards. Isn't that what Christmas is all about? NOT! Unfortunately, the real meaning of this "federal holiday" is often overlooked and misunderstood by vast swaths of the population. So, let's discuss what you can do to change that on the Sunday before Christmas. ---SNIP--- But the most important meaning of Christmas for those without faith is that Jesus embodies love. The Apostle John said it so beautifully: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is...

How London was taken over by Muslims and transformed into a powerhouse of Islamism. In the annals of civilizational decline, few spectacles rival that of a once-mighty empire wilting under the weight of its own timidity. Britain, the cradle of parliamentary democracy, Magna Carta, and the Enlightenment’s unyielding torch, now teeters on the brink of self-inflicted oblivion. The antithesis of multicultural harmony, the year 2025 brings another pitiful surrender to the forces of Islamic extremism, a phenomenon chillingly encapsulated by Melanie Phillips in her prescient 2006 tome Londonistan. Phillips, a Cassandra of our age, warned of London’s metamorphosis into a...

More than 125 congressional Democrats are pushing the Trump administration to withdraw a proposed rule that would open the door to denying a person a green card if they use public assistance, including Medicaid or food stamps. "This proposal punishes families for caring for their children. It would scare parents away from health care, food assistance, and early education that U.S. citizen children are legally entitled to, putting kids at risk and destabilizing entire communities," Rep. Adriano Espaillat, D-N.Y., chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, said in a statement to The Hill. "Congress never intended public charge to be used...

The education story of the year has been the “Southern Surge.” An intrepid group of southern states have led the nation in post-pandemic recovery. In a decade, Mississippi moved from 49th to seventh in the nation on fourth-grade reading scores, despite remaining the poorest state. According to Harvard’s 2024 Education Recovery Scorecard, Louisiana is the only state to recover to 2019 achievement levels in both reading and math, while Alabama matched pre-Covid scores in fourth-grade math alone. All other states continue to lag prior achievement levels. Much of this success has rightly been credited to a handful of commonsense reforms:...

During this Christmas season, it’s good to take a look at what the true meaning of the birth of Christ was. It was not only God being born on earth, although it certainly was that. The birth of Jesus, in fact, was the restoration of the divine Kingdom on earth, with the King of Kings renewing the line of King David and King Solomon. This is important to know, since there are a lot of people in the world today who think that Jesus will only establish His kingdom at His Second Coming. In fact, it was established 2,000 years...

“‘The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field’” (Matthew 13:44). The treasure of salvation is not evident to unregenerate people, which is why they don’t naturally seek it. They don’t understand why believers prize God’s saving kingdom so much and why they willingly give up so much—their self-sufficiency, sinful pleasures, and expensive worldly goods and social status—to gain what appears to be so insignificant and barely visible. Kingdom living is too narrow and unattractive to the unsaved, and that’s why so few find this life or desire to walk it (Matt. 7:14)—in reality, most of the...

A small town committee in South Carolina kept a Nativity display in a market parking lot in defiance of the mayor’s order that it be taken down. The controversy began in Mullins, South Carolina, around Thanksgiving when Kimberly Byrd, head of the Mullins Beautification Committee, said her committee would decorate the town’s new marketplace “like a Hallmark movie” for the Christmas season, believing it would draw in business. The group paid for the decorations out of their own pocket and included a Nativity scene, but Mayor Miko Pickett reportedly asked that it be removed, fearing it would offend residents of...

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly said the US "needs" Greenland for security reasons and has refused to rule out using force to secure it.Denmark summoned the United States ambassador on Monday (Dec 22) after US President Donald Trump appointed a special envoy to Greenland who immediately vowed to make the Danish autonomous territory "a part of the US". Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has repeatedly said the US "needs" the resource-rich Arctic island for security reasons and has refused to rule out using force to secure it. On Sunday, Trump appointed Louisiana governor Jeff Landry...
