Russia is not Iran. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev directed this reminder to President Donald Trump on Monday in a social media post. Medvedev, who now serves as deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, issued what appears to be a not-so-veiled threat in response to Trump’s recent announcement that he has changed his mind about how long he’ll give Russia to strike a peace deal with Ukraine before leveling secondary sanctions against the Kremlin. On Monday, Trump reduced the previous 50-day deadline to “10 or 12” days, prompting Medvedev’s response. “Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step...

But an anonymous source inside the San Diego Police Department tells Amy Reichert that he's seeing something different:A source inside SDPD says crime is unusually low this summer thanks to @EROSanDiego arresting career criminals who thought California’s sanctuary laws would protect them. LOS ANGELES — In the era of Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, even the simple act of buying pan dulce can set nerves on edge. So it was when Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stopped by an East LA bakery one morning only to find the doors shut and the people inside conspicuously ignoring her knocks on the window. It wasn’t until she pressed the mayoral seal printed on her jacket against the glass that the owners welcomed her in. She attributed their squeamishness to her official car, a hulking SUV with tinted windows — to many Angelenos, a symbol of...

The Steele Dossier saga isn’t over—not even close. If anything, its rot is more obvious than ever, with each new revelation pointing directly to the highest levels of the Obama administration and even reaching into the early days of the Trump White House. What we now know is already damning: the phony Steele Dossier wasn’t just opposition research—it was weaponized disinformation, deliberately shoved into the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment under orders from Barack Obama himself. Senior analysts warned it was unverified and unreliable, but those concerns were bulldozed in the name of politics. Obama ordered the revised ICA not because...

Jimmy Hoffa’s final morning on earth, in late July 1975, began with a photo session at his suburban Detroit lakefront home, and thanks to government files, we can see those images 50 years after his disappearance. The portly labor icon posed for photos on July 30, 1975, and then drove to a scheduled luncheon meeting with a pair of hoodlums from Detroit and New Jersey. The mobsters never showed, standing up Hoffa, and the famed labor leader himself was never seen again. Hoffa remained officially missing for seven years, and was declared dead in 1982.

Nathan Gould wakes up in a California state prison cell every morning at 6 a.m. He stirs a cup of instant coffee, prays with his Bible and reflects on the day in 1994 when he killed a man in Bakersfield. Homeless and drifting from one drug score to the next, Gould and his wife holed up with another transient in an abandoned warehouse. Gould attacked him with a knife, beat and tied him up, and proceeded to rifle through his belongings for a wad of cash he’d flashed earlier. When the man began yelling, Gould stuffed a sock in his...

In this version of the video of bystanders confronting the walmart stabbing perpretator (which doesn't have sound censored), if you listen closely about 22 seconds in, the soft spoken voice says put your head(?) on the ground. You hear another voice say okay, I'm muslim, then the soft spoken voice says lay on the ground... Aparrently, it is frowned upon by allah, for muslims to lay on their stomach, thus the comment why gilles doesn't want to lay down on the ground, supporting the comment he is muslim.

Former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D) Senate campaign announced it raised more than $3.4 million in the 24 hours since launching Monday. Cooper’s campaign said it raised $2.6 million for his Senate campaign plus an additional $900,000 for the Democratic Party. SLIDELL, La. — A Slidell woman has been arrested for allegedly purchasing a Lamborghini and plastic surgery while on government assistance. It’s easy to think of American voters as hopelessly polarized, with few true Independents or undecided voters. But when you look beyond how people vote, to what they actually believe, the picture is more complex. In 2025, we expanded our Political Quadrants to include a third dimension gauging Anti-Establishment sentiment. We then took the combined responses and clustered them, uncovering eight Political Tribes in the American Electorate. ============ Download detailed report here.

I've been talking about the de-dollarization trend for several years. Now, some of the world's big financial players are starting to take notice. In a recent note, JPMorgan Chase highlighted the de-dollarization trend, pointing out that dollar reserves have dipped to a 2-decade low below 60 percent. Total holdings of dollar-denominated securities by central banks (excluding the Federal Reserve) fell by $59 billion in 2024. As of the end of last year, dollars made up 57.8 percent of global reserves. That is the lowest level since 1994, representing a 7.3 percent decline in the last decade. In 2002, dollars accounted...

Pope Leo XIV and the Cruel Reality of the Vatican II RevolutionAs grateful as we may be to Leo XIV for this pious exhortation, we are left to wonder what the new pontiff intends to do to address one of the most wicked cruelties in the world today: the Vatican’s continued attacks on the unadulterated Catholic Faith and its persecution of those souls who want nothing more than to practice our religion as faithfully as possible. In his July 27th Angelus address, Pope Leo XIV spoke of our need to avoid cruelty to others if we want to be able call...

CINCINNATI, OH — Friday's violent mob-style attack took social media by storm over the weekend, forcing Chief of Police Teresa Theetge to call a press conference in which she asked citizens not to film violent crimes because it makes her look bad. According to the chief's office, Theetge is particularly upset because the abundance of video footage posted to social media makes Cincinnati look like a lawless city. A fact, she says, is supposed to be a secret. "That is unacceptable to film a crime in my city," she said. "It was horrendous, yes, but it also makes me look...

[Catholic Caucus] German Dioceses Respond Positively and Negatively to Blessings GuidelinesIn June, Bondings 2.0 shared the news that a German church body had published guidelines for the pastoral blessing of couples living in “irregular” situations, which included same-gender couples. Since their publication, the guidelines have met with mixed reactions from German bishops, ranging from enthusiasm to rejection. Entitled “Blessings for Couples Who Love Each Other”, the guidelines were released by a joint conference of the German Bishops’ Conference and the Central Committee of German Catholics (an official Catholic organization representing lay people in Germany). Katholische.de previously reported that the provisions’...

Clothing retailer American Eagle's new advertising campaign hit an unexpected obstacle today, as a federal judge ordered actress and new brand spokeswoman Sydney Sweeney to gain 100 pounds and get an ugly butch haircut. Judge Eileen Bauer, an Obama appointee to a D.C.-area district court, issued an emergency ruling that Sweeney's attractiveness violated the law and demanded that she pack on weight to become as visually unappealing to consumers as possible. "This type of brazen attractiveness cannot be allowed to stand," Bauer said in her ruling. "It is the responsibility of the court to hold corporations to a specific legal...
