Ukraine launched a devastating drone attack on Russia overnight as Vladimir Putin prepares to welcome foreign leaders to celebrate VE Day. The strikes hit Moscow and surrounding Russian regions ahead of a large military parade in the capital on Friday, May 9, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2 in Europe. One target hit by Ukrainian drones was Kubinka military airfield in the west of the city, from which aircraft will launch in a scheduled Red Square flypast. The airfield holds Russian MiG-29 and Su-27 fighter jets as well as Putin’s aerobatic team and is often used for...

This morning the Holy Mass "pro eligendo Romano Pontifice" took place. In his homily, Italian Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re noted: We are here to invoke the help of the Holy Spirit, to implore his light and strength so that the Pope elected may be he whom the Church and humanity need at this difficult and complex turning point in history. That's an understatement. Certainly, the selection of the next head of the Holy See is of interest to Catholics and even non-Catholics given the influence a Pope can wield in non-church matters. For my part, I would like to see...

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Migrant services nonprofits are resorting to donations and litigation as federal funding cuts force them to furlough workers and find alternative sources of funding. The cuts come as the Trump administration prioritizes border security and deportations over asylum. The tactic has dramatically cut down on new arrivals at the Southwest border but leaves millions of people with cases pending in U.S. immigration court in need of legal assistance.

Comer believes the files are already destroyed to cover up the deep state. “I don’t think the Department of Justice has [the Epstein files]—or at least the Attorney General does not have them—or she would have turned them over. The President ordered them released. The Attorney General ordered them released. We all know they have not been released. One of my biggest fears, which I expressed with Kash Patel and a lot of people, including Stephen Miller, going into the new administration, was this: I hope they’re not shredding documents right now. This was a few weeks before the transition....

POLK COUNTY, Fla. - A kayaker was attacked and killed by an alligator Tuesday afternoon at Lake Kissimmee State Park in Central Florida, according to authorities. Authorities were alerted to the incident just before 4 p.m. when a witness reported an encounter with the reptile. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission released a statement that read, "Preliminary information indicates that a woman was canoeing when she encountered an alligator and went into the water. The woman was later recovered from the water and was declared deceased." The most recent incident comes during peak alligator mating season, a period when...

Year: C(I).First readingActs 8:1-8They went from place to place, preaching the Good NewsThat day a bitter persecution started against the church in Jerusalem, and everyone except the apostles fled to the country districts of Judaea and Samaria. There were some devout people, however, who buried Stephen and made great mourning for him. Saul then worked for the total destruction of the Church; he went from house to house arresting both men and women and sending them to prison....

To the rational, well intentioned American citizen, the issues where the Democrat party chooses to fight certainly appear ill advised. There must be better ways to express your support for unrestricted immigration than by waxing poetic every time another vicious gangbanger is removed from the country under a clear and unambiguous legal foundation. Abusing the court system to obstruct political opponents, or to assault them, is not going unnoticed by the average American. Championing the “right” of common street criminals to have ready, unimpeded access to victims by challenging every attempt by law enforcement to keep society safe (no cash...

“‘When you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you’” (Matthew 6:3–4). From this and other Scripture, we can learn principles to guide us in God-honoring giving. First of all, genuine heart-giving is an investment with God. “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured...

Open carry was observed and uncontroversial at the NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta in 2025. It was a bit more common at the NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta in 2017, as documented in AmmoLand News then. Georgia passed Constitutional Carry (permitless carry) in 2022. Permitless carry applies to all lawful weapons carriers, as defined in Georgia code 16-11-125.1.(2.1) “Lawful weapons carrier” means any person who is licensed or eligible for a license pursuant to Code Section 16-11-129 and who is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing a weapon or long gun, any resident of any other state who would...

Karen Kingston is a biotech analyst and former Pfizer employee who is back with some grotesque news about what the US government knew about the CV19 bioweapon vax. They knew it was not safe at all, and the FDA also knew Pfizer committed fraud to get the CV19 injections approved. Kingston says, “This is the government’s words exactly: ‘The FDA was aware of the protocol violations.’ So, the FDA was aware of the fraud that was reported . . . before it granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for its vaccine. They were aware of the fraud. Second, the government said...

After an unprecedented on-air hissy fit last week over the forced exit of a longtime editor, 60 Minutes's Scott Pelley decided to go all in on the Trump-hate, using his on-air time to praise and promote Marc Elias, the architect of the Russia hoax scandal and probably the world's sleaziest lawyer. According to Breitbart News's Joel Pollak: CBS News’ 60 Minutes portrayed Democrat election lawyer Marc Elias as a victim of President Donald Trump’s supposed retaliation against law firms — without once mentioning Elias’s sordid background. CBS’ Scott Pelley portrayed Elias as a hero, the only lawyer brave enough to...

A Republican poll obtained exclusively by the Houston Chronicle show Cornyn is down against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton among likely GOP primary voters by 17 percentage points. A Democratic poll shows him down more than 20 percentage points. State Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston, said it’s time for someone to have a serious talk with Cornyn about whether he really wants to go through with another campaign that could quickly turn negative and costly. “If I was an incumbent senator with these types of polling numbers, I probably wouldn’t run because you can’t win,” Bettencourt said. Cornyn has said he's...

And the tantrum-throwing is epic. Is this scenario not exactly what Americans — and, for that matter, the entire world — have been witnessing in real time as Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) discover the malfeasance, fraud, and criminality of not the fictional housewife Irene, but the real live people who run our massive government institutions? To name only a few, there are the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pentagon, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). All of these have been fleecing our country — with...

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman on Tuesday said Harvard University, one of the nation’s oldest and wealthiest, should not be entitled to taxpayer funds when the school wastes money on what he calls “administrative bloat.” Ackman, who earned undergraduate and business degrees from Harvard more than three decades ago, was speaking hours after the Trump administration said it was freezing future grants to Harvard. He also criticized the school’s investment policies, saying the Ivy League university is facing a financial crisis and that its $53 billion endowment is “poorly invested.” ... “They have lost all future grants, their tax exemptions are...

Republican Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow Tuesday he suspects China is cooking its books on economic growth. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Tuesday told the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government that the Trump administration has not talked with China about trade or negotiating an end to increased tariffs. During an appearance on “Kudlow,” the senator said he suspects China’s economy was “weak as rainwater.” “I’ll bet you a soda and a nice hat [that] China’s economy is not growing at more than 2%,” Kennedy said. “They say 5%, but...

Russia has called on the two countries to de-escalate and find a peaceful solution. “We are deeply concerned about the escalation of military confrontation between India and Pakistan following the terrorist attack near Pahalgam,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in an official statement Wednesday. “Russia strongly condemns acts of terrorism, opposes any manifestation of terrorism, and emphasizes the need to unite the entire international community to effectively combat this evil.” “We call on the parties involved to exercise restraint in order to prevent the further deterioration of the situation in the region. We hope that differences between New...
